I think persians are adorable. But my favorite are the MAINE COONS, the REX, and the SPHINX. The SPHINX is the breed of cat that has no fur. You may think they are ugly but I think they are straight up adorable. I love black cats. Their littles faces are so dark - the only thing visible are their big green eyes. Although pink noses are cute, there is something about looking into a black cat's face and seeing nothing but green eyes looking back! Every black I have owned has had the same type of personality - very calm and quite human-like. I have had non-black cats in the past but they were not like my black cats. Blondes may have more fun, but black cats are true winners! hehehehe

I agree 100%! My black guy Jet, is very, very, very friendly to animals and humans alike. I found him sleeping with my black Lab a couple of weeks ago...a paw on each side of her muzzle, and his head was on her paws. It was too cute!

I love black cats. They're so mystical. I have a black cat named Glacier. She is very sweet. Sometimes I will be carrying her around and she will look at me with those big green-yellow eyes. When I try to put her down she will jump right back into my arms and put her arms around my neck anf put her head on my shoulder. I'm not exaggerating either. She is really sweet.

When I went to pick out a kitten at the shelter, I had my heart set on a black one, because they've always been my favorites, for their beauty and personality.

I came home with my Cleo, a gorgeous 1-1/2 year-old Tortie with huge golden eyes. It was love at first sight. Not only for her beauty but her insistent head-butting against the cage every time I went to look around some more!

I love all cats but I must admit that I am also quite partial to black ones. Mine were/are all found abandoned and by coincidence 3 of them are black (quite a good thing I like them since I live in a country where black cats are believed to bring bad luck http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/mad.gif ). I also love grey coloured cats, well maybe one day...

I had a grey cat, too. He was as mean as a junk yard dog! People had to fight him off with water bottles and/or pillows!

I really do enjoy Black cats...My Groucho is mostly black with a little white on her chest and a small white mustache..Hence the name Groucho. However I guess my very very favorite cats are one's that are spayed or nuetured and have healthy happy homes. Kittens are wonderful but so heartbreaking when they don't have good homes. My 3 cats are all strays from mamma's that weren't loved enough to be spayed by thier people. My to Tom's are nuetered and its great to have a big ol'male cat that isn't coming home all hours of the night cut and scratched up from fighting. My female is the 1st female cat thats ever lived with me so I can't compare a spayed one to an unspayed one. But she sure is happy and very loving too.

Whenever I've been to the Rescue Centres for a cat, I've always thought "I'd really like a ginger cat this time,.... or a tabby and white,....." but the one you fall in love with is usually nothing like you intended to get! I always think I want boys, too, but my last three have all been girls. I suppose when it comes down to it, we love them all, and when a cat needs a loving home, it doesn't really matter at all what colour or sort it it.

I prefer Maine Coons and love my 25 lb. Brown Classic Tabby with white Maine Coon Champion. But most of my life I just had plain ole cats all colors all sizes and all personalities. I love my cats, there momma is a pure Siamese, but she found love with a black & white man kitty kat.. LOL...she had 4 kittnes & I kept two, there both boys, one looks like the older breed type of Siamese's he's Little John (don't let his name fool you... in real life he's very big)(he is a big cat),, & the other one is black & white & he's JarJar (yes like start wars).....I had another cat but he jumped out of the car on the way to the vet.... I never should have told him he was gona loose his manhood!!! His name was preshuse, he was a ginger tabby. & he'd sit kinda like a bird on my shoulder, his back feet would hag their.. I'd walk around & people would look at me funny, with these two act feet hangin down my back.... I loved him!!

my favorite cats are cats.....i have a maine coon, flame point, two flame point tabby mixed, but i have to tell you its hard to say favorites when you are a die-hard cat lover. i'll see this one & say oh isn't it the cutest, & then another one pots his little face at me and at that monent it's the cutest & favorite. As a cat lover it's diffucult to say what is a favorite. But then again the 4 i have our my favorites

Hey! I used to have a black cat. He was the sweetest cat I ever had! He had medium length hair and was soooo kind to everyone! He would do tricks and follow me around everywhere. When we had to move, we gave him to our friend, but he wouldn't stay at their house and he left. No one knows what ever happened to him. It was really sad. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif

I love cats, period. In my life, I have only "gotten" one cat, all the others have picked me out. There are so many out their that need homes, I could never narrow it down by color. Even though I believe some traits are color-linked, they are still all just so lovable!

My favorite type of cat is MINE!! Really, I love all types of cats; each one has something special and unique about it; I do love the coloring of callies and torties, the fur of domestic long hairs, the facial structure of a Rex, the voice of the siamese, the temperment of a Maine Coon, the body of a persian.... well, you see, all cats!

Oreo cats! I think that is the cutest way to describe these cute cats! I have two, and of course the girl is named Cookie, but we mostly call her Double Stuff - like the Double Stuff Oreo Cookies!

My favorite cats are RAGDOLLS!!! Does anyone have any of their own? I have two, brother and sister, and they are the most affectionate, beautiful, playful, and smart kitties. I am also a big fan of Russian Blues. But I also love almost any cat, but am definitely addicted to the Ragdolls!

Hi Lynn D. Yes my daughter has a ragdoll. She researched the breed quite a bit before she bought him. She talked to the vet about ragdolls and read about them in Cat Fancy. Well, unfortunately, her kitty is not quite as friendly as yours are. See my post under "Cat Breeds..Does Anyone Have A Ragdoll?" from July 2nd. I am glad that yours are more true to the norm for this breed. Her little guy is not a bad kitty, just not very friendly except to her and her husband. He has a "handle with care" sticker on his chart at the vet's too. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif I think he is just fearful (although he loves to be around people).
