I know I don't post enough pictures of my lovely Shiloh. Its just REALLY REALLY hard for me to get a good picture of her because she's black and the flash washes her out terribly. She was sitting on my desk today so I opened the blinds and tried to snap a few decent ones.

OMG!! She is GORGEOUS! I LOVE that second picture! She could be a cat model for sure! What a beauty!
I have trouble getting pictures of my dark cats too. Without the flash they don't show up and with the flash they look funny too. You can't seem to get their true colors. At least not with my camera anyway.
You sure got some fantastic pictures of that pretty lady this time so whatever you did KEEP IT UP!!! We would love to see more of her.

It's about time we get to see some Shiloh pictures! I love it when kitties play with straws, that's Tibby's favorite toy.

Wow Aly, Shiloh is gorgeous and you did a great job capturing her beauty. I didn't realize her coat was so full and long.

What a gorgeous girl! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks everyone :) When I first found her at 7 mos old, I thought she was going to be a short haired cat. But she sure did grow hair fast! It also changed colors some ... you can see a lot of brown in it. I am so tempted to give her a little lion cut. But her fur is in great condition and she doesn't seem to be hot ever. I'm trying to find an excuse to justify cutting the poor girl and having her lose her dignity :)

Shiloh sure is gorgeous.:) She reminds me of my RB Pepper. It also took him awhile to grow a mane and become long haired and his fur turned different colors too.:)

Wow Shiloh is STUNNING. Her fur looks like black velvet! Those pics came out great! I am messing around with all the setting on my new digital camera to see which ones are best for taking pics of Connor, being grey and all one colour, he seems to come out as a "grey blob with eyes"in most of his photos!!!). I know ChrisH has mentioned the same problem with Ebby, her blackie, so we are not alone!!!

BTW what does Shiloh mean???

I don't know, hehehe. I was planning on naming her Shadowe. I took her to the vet on the second day after I found her so I didn't have too long to think about it. When they asked me what her name was, I just blurted out "Shiloh" for some reason. I have since found a book about a dog named Shiloh, but I have no idea where I came up with the name. I really like it though!

I just looked it up on a few name sites and this is what I came up with:

NAME Shiloh
ORIGIN Biblical City of
FIELD4 Tranquility

SHILOH
Meaning: Peaceful
Origin: Hebrew
Gender: Either

Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. I saw your question and was going to answer but I must've forgotten :o :o

Your guess is as good as mine on her breed since I found her starving in a parking lot and have no clue where she came from. I usually just put Domestic Medium Hair on her paperwork at the vet. If anyone sees anything in her, I'd love to hear it! I'm great at dog breeds, but not the best at the cat breeds! The cat breeds I do know well, I know Shiloh has none of those in her.

She's just gorgeous, Aly. I have always wanted a solid black cat. :)
