and the Holiday is celebrated on Monday.

Time? First Arrivals can be 10AM or even earlier...
the Real Crowd starts forming between
11AM and Noon...
The DieHards stay till almost Dark.

from the Bark Park...

And several State Parks and Private Campgrounds available near
the Bark Park.

Tina... we raft the lower new river with Extreme Expeditions.
The campground is in Fayetteville, WV.

As it looks now... we probably are NOT going rafting.
So.... it's looking good for me to be able to come on Labor Day!!

I wonder if any Ohio-ians would let us bunk up at their house? Hehe, kidding. :p But, it would save us money! :p

As of now, i'm not sure if we're coming.
But, then again.. the last times I wasn't sure and we ended up going! And I wasn't sure we were ever going to get a third dog.. and now we have 3! :p

No... we don't have "nice" neighbors like that...My hubby should be at the house for a while... but we all know how much Buddy loves my hubby!!!:rolleyes:

KAT Famblies don't need NUFFIN! :D

It's just the DAWGGIES that need to have a Park PERMIT to
enter the Dog Park area.

"Humans" - as long as they are current on their "shots" -
don't need a permit! :D

KATs are welcome to attend - and we've HAD KATs attend -
but they always *hang out* at the picnic pavilion and don't
usually wander into the Doggie Domain.

PLAN to ATTEND - you don't really NEED a Dawg to have *PHUNN*!
But - I'm sure we can arrange to LOAN You a Dawg -
if you feel the need!! ;)

to share with the group ~ most ANYthing that you'd bring to a Picnic goes...
Usually the only Food PROBLEM we have is there's TOO Much and
TOO Many for just one day! ;)

The Main Course is usually Burgers & Brats cooked on the grill;
and enough Salads, Sides, and Deserts to send everyone home
with a WELL-Stuffed tummy!

Note 2: The Application is TWO Pages long -
be SURE to Print Page 1 AND Page 2;
Page 2 is a WAIVER that Must Be Signed & Returned -
and is at the Very BOTTOM of page 2. ;)

What you need to SEND IN with the Application is >>

1) CHECK made out to Hancock Parks Foundation with
Memo to: Dog Park Permit

2) COPY (originals won't be returned) of the Dog's
. . Annual Vaccination Record from the VET...
. . (A Copy of the Office Visit Receipt is fine if the SHOTS
. . are noted & has Vet's Name on it).
. . DATE needs to be within ONE Year of now.

3) COPY of RABIES Vaccination Receipt ...
. . DATE within 1 or 3 years - depending on the vaccine used;
. . Most Rabies Receipts show an EXPIRATION date for the shot -
. . Rabies Vacc must be "current" (not expired).

4) All Dogs must also be "Licensed" by the City, Town, County,
or State where you LIVE. Fido should be *wearing* his/her License.

Send it all to:
Hancock Parks District
Attn: Dog Permit
1424 Eeast Main Cross Street
Findlay, OH 45840

Cost of $10 / year registers 1, 2 or 3 Dogs.
(From December 1 to December 31 of the Following Year)
You'll receive a Plastic Laminated "Permit Card" in the Mail -
BRING IT WITH you on visits -
they WILL be Checking Permits this year!!

A note about the "DATES" shown on your Receipts ~
Parks is "happy" if the Dates on the Vet & Rabies Receipts are
"Current" within the LAST 12 Months of when you send them in...
In other words; if Fido had his "Shots" anytime AFTER August 19 of 2003 -
he's Good to Go!

And a 3 year Rabies shot is good if it was given
AFTER August 19, 2001.

** Write DOWN the ZIP Code - they forgot to put it ON the Application! :rolleyes:

And: The Application has LAST year's Dates on it - "2003" -
don't worry - They'll send a 2004 Permit! ;)

Make and SEND *COPIES* of the original receipts -
WITH the Application and Payment -
Parks will NOT return your receipts!

Kiara can be ADDED to your current Permit...

The COST to ADD her depends upon
How Many Dogs are already ON that Permit ...

If your/Dad's Permit only has Simba & Nala on it now...
Then Kiara is a FREE-BEE... because you can have THREE Dogs
on ONE Permit for $10.00.

You'd just send in another Application Form,
*WITH* Kiara's Vet / Shot / Rabies Receipts -
and a *Note* asking that she be *ADDED* to your current Permit.
Be sure to use the SAME Name as you did before.

IF Kiara will be the FOURTH Dog on the permit -
you'll have to send an additional $5.00 with the App & Vet Papers.

YUP! We are coming for the first time! Yes, I am doing the sunshine dance as well. I am a catperson but looking forward to meeting whoever comes - I "sorta" know some of you....Anna, Robin, Staci, Kay:) My son(Jason) and DIL, Sirrahved(Devon) will be bringing their new pup, Muffin. Devon has been cooking up a storm - making homemade doggie biscuits and trying several recipes and that girl CAN COOK! I am making a cake I have been DYING to try but needed and adventuresome group to spring it on:rolleyes: Hopefully ya'll are adventuresome. We will see ;)

Me too! Now this is two trips I've missed and Kay is getting to go twice. I'm so depressed :( Anna and Robin, would you mind if Duke and I just planned a visit some time? I don't really venture to the meeting section very often, so I am just now seeing this thread... but, my dad is going to be in Mansfield, OH that weekend to visit some of his relatives.

I wasn't planning on going with him, but I would love to meet you all, even if I can't bring the furkids. My dad doesn't like dawgs in the cars. Besides, I think its too late to get a permit for my doggies anyways.

Anyway, I'll talk to my dad and see if he minds if I go with him, and if I do, if we would have time to make a trip to Findlay. :)

If I remember the folks I met - this is Clara, Snoopy on the table, some ladies I can't remember Diana, Staci, and Keegan grabbing the shadiest spot in the park:D

I think PT folks are some of the nicest folks on the planet.:D On the way, we stopped to visit with Anna and Mark and met Huney and Roxey - also met up with Kay and her dad, Ken and the adorable Kiara. Kay and Ken were going to head back to Anna & Mark's with "doggie bags" of food for them and Robin who spent her day keeping Anna company.

We are home now too and I will see what I can do to get some pictures uploaded. We were some of the last to leave, about 8:30. Staci was leaving the same time we were and Phred still had to put his things in the car, but was heading out too.

As usual, it was a fun day for all...lots of playing, and stealing treats for the dogs, and good food and converstion for the humans. I think everyone went home happy, tired and full :)

Leo and I had a great time and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. We got home about 10:30 last night and were both pretty pooped. Leo curled up and slept the entire way home. All the dogs were great and except for a few "back off" snaps - all they all seemed to have a good time. I think Leo was a little intimidated by the sheer number of new dogs to meet (he is not usually that clingy), but by the end of the day he was quite comfortable. We will definitely be coming back because I want to meet everyone that wasn't able to make it this time.

All of the pictures and albums are just great. For me it is difficult to tell who is who (of the dogs) and I laughed when Cloverfdx, immediately found a "stranger" in the midst.

I bet everyone was just exhausted at the end of a very long and happy day.

:D Exactly MY reaction Gini!! It was amazing to me how everyone knew just which dog was which , who they belonged to and who was missing, etc. Being a cat only person myself - I couldn't even keep the ones there straight!! I TRIED!!: After awhile, I couldn't even pick out my granddog among all the black lab mixes!!:eek:
Now give me cats, and I pretty much know the cats:D

Kiara was trying not to get trampled while chasing after them and hwile they chased her.
