I got a call about an hour ago about Mattie. Turns out her name is Ellie and she lives about two blocks away from on the same street. Her owners just moved here last month and were gone on vacation last week. They had some family coming to feed her but she must have gotten lonely and wandered down here.

Her meowmie, Laura, was so excited to see her. I told Laura that whenever they go anywhere I'd be happy to come feed her or better yet they could just bring her to my house since she seems so comfortable here. Laura offered to feed my cats too - Yeah!! Her husband's a state trooper and they have a 3 year old son. Maybe I'll actually have a friend in this neighborhood that I'll trust with my cats, I hope.

Anyway, I'm happy for everybody! I really like Mattie but now just isn't the time for a new cat with cattitude.

Oh yeah, she was spayed and she doesn't like other female cats at all. She also doesn't let her family pet her much either.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!

How cool is it - you've made several new friends now. So glad Ellie is back with her family - and I know they're delighted to have her.

That's great news seeing as the little princess was starting to get a bit 'testy' with you and the kitties. And a built in kitty sitter and friend to top it all off! :D

Wonderful news! It's so nice to do the "cat-sitting" swap thing. So glad that the owner was located.

I am trying to plan a trip so I can adopt one of Logan's baby birdies. I'm still working out the details, but it looks like I'm going to have to do that big drive alone. I'm still looking into maybe flying, but I will probably drive.

Excellent news!

We used to have a cat along the road who came and visited us when his family were on holiday. They always had a friend come in to feed him, but normally there was a family with two children and a dog in the house and I think he just got lonely. Latterly, he would break in through the cat flap during the night to sleep on our bed! Used to drive Samantha nuts. :D
