So Samantha was being an absolute sweetheart last night. And I had to take pictures. And then I decided I just had to share them with you. So prepare yourself for more Samantha!!



"Come on, Mom... let's play!" (The toy she has in her mouth is a turkey, that when you press it, it plays a man with a deep voice going "gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble" etc... it's pretty funny.)

She's just so cute! I love that one with her crabby toy. Are you in Maryland? That's where my brother lives. I visited him in January.

Is Samantha a mixed breed? My friend's uncle's dog looks similar to her. :)

dukedogsmom - Yes, we're in MD. I was born and raised here!

ILoveMyAbbyGirl - Samantha is definitely a mixed breed. My neighbor found her along the side of the road when she was 6 weeks old, so we don't know her exact breed mixture, but my vet says definitely GSD, definitely Golden, definitely Collie, and she has a purple spot on her tongue which I'm told is strictly Chow. So maybe she has a little bit of that too.

The turkey was gotten for her by her daddy last year. He went to Virginia Tech and their mascot is a Hokie, which is a turkey. Whenever you go to a football game, you hear those turkey soundmakers everywhere, so when Samantha's daddy saw this he had to get it for her.

Ironically enough, she plays with it - on her own, no influence from me or my husband - most from August through December... which coincides with the NCAA football season.

Hi there sweet, sweet Samantha! Oh, what a beautiful girl you are, Sam! I love your long, soft, furry ears and you have the gentlest, big brown eyes! And what a fun selection of toys and squeekers!!! You seem especially fond of your crab:D Sam, I'd love to give that beautiful face (and precious pawsies) a big kiss!!!:)

Samantha is so beautiful. She looks so dainty and elegant, and so well groomed! Do you brush her often? She has the sweetest, softest face, I bet you have a hard time ever saying no to that face :D

She'll just sit and let you brush her for as long as you want. She's such a girl. :)

And yes, I do have a horrible time saying no to her. I also have a horrible time saying goodbye to her to go to work each day when she looks out the window at me leaving... breaks my heart.
