I totally agree with your family's recommendation that people should go to rescue groups & animal shelters to adopt the most wonderful pets in the world. Just look at you....for living proof of that!

I just saw the picture of princess dixie doodle and couldn't believe my eyes. I adopted a dog from an animal shelter and he looks EXACTLY like dixie. The shelter said mine was chihuahua/cairn terrier mix but we've doubted that from the beginning. Now I'm starting to think he's a whippet/lab like yours. I was writing to ask how big yours is now (at 18 months) since my pup is only 5 months now, just in case so i might know what to expect.
