My heart hurts so bad for these two dogs. I really hope that their owner is looking for them. I cannot imagine abandoning such sweet dogs. They love eachother so much.

If you do not know who these dogs are, here is the thread:

Look how close they lay together. They always lay like that.

:) theyre both soooo sweet! youre awesum for taking in those beautiful girls.. definately an odd couple, but it looks like they love eachother. I live in your area so I'll try asking around to see if anyone is interested.. you could always ask Badrap if they'll post Angel. good luck with finding homes for them! did you want to adopt them out together?

Yes, they would need to be adopted out together. Angel is very protective of Mama. She cries when they are apart. It's so sweet, when I throw the ball, Angel runs and gets it and then waits. Slowly but surely, Mama makes her way to the ball, and then Angel gives it to her. Angel even lets her eat first. I'm going to give the owner a week, but I really don't think anyone is looking for them.

Oh gosh, I'd take the Golden in a heartbeat if I could. :(:( What a sweetie pie.

Thank you again for taking them in. I hope you can find them both a wonderful home where they can be together. They definately deserve it.

God bless you for taking them in. :) But what happens if their owners don't turn up in a week? Being as they're both older, I fear they may have a difficult time being adopted at all, muchless together... What are you going to do?

I wish I were near you - I would help out. :(

How I would love to give those poor pups a home... Bless you Tonya for making a part of their lives worthwhile.

Anna- Yes, I am so attached already!

Samantha puppy- I emailed several retriever and senior dog rescues last night. I am also going to email all the pitty and mutt rescues in my area today. They both will be put to sleep at the pound. They don't adopt out senior dogs or pits (even mixes). Hopefully I'll be able to work something out. If not, I guess they are mine.

Tonya - if you end up keeping them and run into a tight financial situation, I won't be able to send you hundreds of dollars but please let me know if you need help and I will send you something. Okay?

Thank you very much for the offer. That is very nice of you. I can afford them financially. I just don't really have the time and space for them. My new house has a much smaller backyard. Also, our city limit is 3 dogs. That would make 5 for me. And, Roxy doesn't like the pitty. The one time I introduced them, they fence fought. But then again, when I pulled up the first day, Roxy was playfully poking her nose under the garage door playing with the pitty. So I think if I really tried, they could get along. If I could get them all to get along, time might not be as much of a problem. But having to give 5 dogs seperate attention when also have cats, I work, have a son, and a baby on the way is overwhelming.

I wish I were closer... I would most definitely help you out with the dogs and babysitting and all that good stuff. Stupid country has to be so freakin' big!

Hehe. Thank you. If I can't rehome the two, it'll just be a sacrifice that I have to make. Shhh, hubby is coming! hehe.

Still nothing! I cannot believe no one is looking for them! I drove all around again today, no signs are up aside from mine.

tonya, if we weren't so far apart, i'd be knocking on your door for them. i love seniors and friends. since you cannot keep more dogs, could you contact best friends sanctuary to rehome them?

I've emailed all the sanctuarys in the area. No one has responded, so I am going to start calling them in a few days.

I wokeup at 4am today when the newspaper came, anxious to see if they'd put a lost pet ad in yet. Still nothing. I can't believe this!

I just read your other thread and this one. What a sweet, sweet couple of friends!

If there was any way to get them here, I'd take them for sure. They are just so sweet. I just love Angel already.
