It's Phred's Boots!!!

Like many I have longed wondered about Boots. Is he like the rabbit in the movie "Harvey" perhaps? Well, the mystery has been solved. There are genuine (so they appear anyway -- a little fuzzy like those photos in the grocery store rags ...) photos of Boots now on page 1 of Cat Christmas Carol! I didn't se them until today and wanted to make sure EVERYONE has this rare opportunity. I have tried -- so far without success to copy the photos here. I must actually do some work :mad: so I can't mess around trying any longer.

Perhaps someone more technical can help?

Wait til I get home and tell Edwina that Boots really does exist!!

Wow, finally a Picture of Boots, and he is gorgeous. Looks bigger then I pictured him. No wonder he keeps the dog's inline. To get a good face shot, you most likely have to hold him and get someone else to take the picture.
I have so many wasted pictures, because they turned there heads just as I was snapping the picture.

Here's wun from this mornin - Boots holds up progress till Dad fills up his krunch bowl next to the sink.

He wasn't very happy about dressin' up so we didn't do it much! lol He was pretty good about lettin' me play vet though--and lettin' me push him around the backyard in a carriage. I miss dat ol' kittykatz! :(

Actually, :o the photo in my profile isn't very current either. That one was taken about 3 summers ago! (And I look like a snob in it! :( I promise I do smile! :D ) That one just happened to be the one I had handy when PetTalk introduced the pikture feature.

As Chuck points out, "Bells" have always been important to the Fire Service. They are still used by many departments to sound out, inside the fire stations, the identification number of street alarm boxes...

When a citizen "pulls" the handle on an alarm box, an elaborate system of punced tapes and bells punch out and sound out the "box number" in stations all over the city. Pull box #234, and the bells strike out [** *** ****]. Firefighters in stations that are "first due" on box 234 start mounting their apparatus as soon as they hear the first two strokes of the "Bells" followed by a pause; the next two digits in the series of bell strokes tells them "where" the box is - corner of First & Main. In a busy department, trucks know axactly where they're going and are pulling out onto the street by the time the second "round" of bells begins repeating the box number. The next step is...

The newer air packs now have vibrating facepieces, flashing lights, and chirping beepers to warn of :eek: low air. That's in addition to the PASS (personal alert safety system) alarm that starts *shrieking* if you're motionless for more than a minute.
Somebody decided the mere *bell* wasn't good enough! ;)
