I'm so stupid with this sort of thing. Me and a friend were thinking of taking a train to florida, but I can't figure out how to work the site. Like amtrak.com or whatever. I was thinking I could drive to Maine, and go from there (I won't take a plane, and I'm not old enough to rent a car..stupid needing to be 25 -_-') Can anyone else me out?? Do they allow pets?

So far, after much trying, I've found that it's $17.85 from Portland Maine to Boston. Cannot get beyond that, it wants such specific information, and won't give a schedule to guess from. You're not stupid, Amtrak's site is badly designed.

Mayb Sandra (Tattsxx11) would know Boston to NY train schedules? I know her husband sometimes works in NYC, but I don't know whether he drives down or what.

AHH! I LOVE AMTRACK! Awesome train! Mommy and I go on train trips for no reason some times. No, they do not allow pets on the train. Yeah, I don't like how the site is desinged either.

The Acela (fast amtrak train) runs from Boston to NY, and then there's a train from NY to florida, so that's how you could do it. (however, there are 2 stations in Boston - one you would arrive in from Maine, and one you depart from to NY, so you'd need a taxi or something to get to the other station)

Here's a scedule from Boston to NY:

http://www.amtrak.com/plan/timetables.html
click on "Boston - New York - Philadelphia - Washington - Richmond - Norfolk/Virginia Beach" under "northeast corridor"

and here's the train from NY to Florida:

Trains are fun. Hope you can plan your trip! ^_^

You can take the Boston subway - "the T" from South Station to Back Bay, no need for a cab! You'd take athe Red line one stop, then get on the Orange line to Back Bay - see http://www.mbta.com/traveling_t/schedules_subway.asp

You and your friend wear some dark shades, you take Zeke and she takes Jo.... then you're on your way.. to steal Kiara.

Walk! :D

Maybe by bus? It may be the same as a train though, only service animals.

I couldn't put Zeke on a plane. He is very afraid of loud noises and I know he would be terrified..I just couldn't do it to him:(
