I said goodbye to my Ranger today after seven years. I was getting really tired of shifting plus wanted a big truck so that I could tow horses and such. I won't be getting a trailer for quite a while but a friend has one I can borrow. I want to start going camping with Flair and going on rides in different parts of Florida. Anyway, here was my Ranger

Now, my truck is not new at all but I really consider it an upgrade of sorts. It's got vinyl seats like I wanted so the dog hairs easily disappear. It's an automatic. Big plus. I was so sick of shifting. I got a good amount for my Ranger and it won't take me too long to get this one paid for. I just didn't feel like five years of payments and I happened to see this truck on the way to the barn and fell in love with it. It may not seem very special to a lot of people but it's perfect for me. It's an F350 crew cab(4 door!)

Excuse Duke's glowing eyes.

As soon as I got home, I loaded up Duke for a short ride. He was so excited. He barked like crazy when I drove up, until he found out it was me.

One pic just for fun. I got this accidentally.

I took the truck to our service station and had it completely checked out before I bought it. So, cross your fingers that all is well and will be for a long time!

YAYYY!! You've been telling me about it for a while now and i'm so happy that you've finally been able to get it and that they finally got the AC fixed! Does it work good.. I know you'll need it ;)

Simba and Duke would loooooovvvee riding in the back of the cab when it's time to go beachin'!

I did really like your old truck though, especially the color and stickers. ;)

WOW! :)

*NICE* Ride, Duke!
You got yur own set of Keys? ;)

As for the "OLD" Ride...
Looks pretty sharp for being 7 years old!
They don't look that good up here -
After 7 years of Ohio's  winter SALT!

NEAT Graphics on the Ranger -
Will Duke get His Name painted on the passenger door of the new one?

I always get a Big :D when I see a Big Rig pass that has
a Dawggie Graphic and Fido's NAME painted on the door.

Happie Trails in the New Ride! ;) .

Duke!!!
You look so handsome in your new truck!! You must just love it!!
Isn't it great that your mom buys you vehicles??!!

The past 3 new cars we have gotten, have been for the dogs--first one SUV when we had 2 dogs, then we graduated to a bigger one when we got 4!!!
Now I bought myself a little older car just to run around in, and that I can always take the dogs in!!!!

Congrats on the new truck!!!

I meant to comment on this yesterday. What I would love to do is get Duke's portrait on the passenger side with his name and have Flair's(horse) on driver's side with his name. The paint job isn't the best on this and I don't know if it can be done without having truck painted first. But, I would like to at least have Duke's on the passenger side while he's still around to enjoy the truck rides. I think that's a great idea! I could just get a stencil and spray his name in fancy letters. Would that look bad?

Gotta be "careful" with stencils and Vertical surfaces -
*very* easy to have the paint "run" under the stencil!

Check with a few of the "Detail" or "Custom" car & van shops -
They usually have someone on staff who Airbrushes
custom artwork on cars and trucks.

Another place to check is a Sign Shop that does commercial
truck lettering - they might have a "stock" GSD Graphic they
could combine with "stock" *fancy* letters for the Duke.
They whip it out on a puter that cuts the vinyl material and
stick it on the door in a few minutes.
You can get almost ANY color, even *reflective*!
And the size can be adjusted anywhere from too small to see
up to covering the whole door!
(Ask your Coppers where they get the Patrol Car graphics done.)

Great truck Val.

And in response to your other thread, the truck looks like a "Henry" to me ........... or Hazard (as in The DUKE's of Hazard)
:D

You know Val.. my dad's friend does lettering and stuff for a living (stickers for windows, cars, etc..) I could possibly ask my dad about him doing your truck for you if you're interested in stickers.

My sister got this car for like $50 when she was in high school. It was an old junker that somebody had spray-painted black & white like a holstein cow.

When it rained - it ran everywhere! It was hilarious.

So be careful with those paints! hehe
