I ended up taking (my Lhasa) Wicket to my vet today. He had these red "bites" on his back that he kept biting & scratching at. He also has a dry spot on each ear & a dry nose!:(
He's been like this for the past month but, my mom told me to try comfrey (a natural herb). It seemed to help for a little while, then back to scratching.
The diagnosis: allergies......poor guy. I have to give him 1 pill once a day for the next few weeks to stop the itching & relieve the redess. I think he prescribed Prednesone?. I hope this makes him feel better & thank goodness it wasn't a tick or fleas!:)
