As you may already know, I have recently adopted a cute little baby. A Maine Coon/Ragdoll mix by the name of Ken. http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Character%20Smilies%203/Dancing_Banana.gif

We discovered some hilarious antics just recently. All of our cats are off limits to the bathroom whenever me or my hubby are inside.

Everytime we flush our toilet, he will beg to let him in. But that's a big no-no. http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Mad%20Smilies/No_No.gif The former owner said, this kitten loves to watch flushing toilets. Ewww.

Or when we are taking a shower, I can see his paws poking and peeping underneath the bathroom door.http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Happy%20Smilies/Laugh_Out_Loud.gif He will meow, and meow. He really sound cute because he have a divine voice and makes those chirping sound, gurgle like a baby.http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Happy%20Smilies/Baloon_Smiley.gif I guess I don't have a choice but to let him in when using the bathroom. Now that's odd, http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Confused%20Smilies/Confused_Smilie_2.gif I'm not used to having a cat watched me taking a bath. He just sit on top of the toilet. Very fascinated with water! I have a small dipper in the bathroom for him and fill it with water so he can play with the water inside. Squish, squish, as he poke the water. He doesn't mind the water splashing on his face. http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Happy%20Smilies/Laugh_Out_Loud.gif

Not only with the bathroom. But also in the kitchen. :D He surpass Pee-chan and Selphie's jumping ability. (whereas I have to provide a stool for them so they can get up http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Happy%20Smilies/Laugh_Out_Loud.gif) When I'm preparing food, or washing, the sound of water gushing from the faucet will make him run towards the source. He will watch the water if I'm around. When I leave the faucet running, pretending I'm leaving, I'll see him hitting the water. http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ticticc13/Happy%20Smilies/Laugh_Out_Loud.gif

I'm glad he doesn't do this on his water bowl! My friend even told me we should get a kiddie pool for him. :D

Pouncer's also fascinated by water. I'm a well trained mommy though - I am not allowed to be in the bathroom by myslef! If I make the mistake of shutting him out, I hear about it! I guess he has to make sure the toilet flushes properly? Come to think of it, we haven't had a problem with the toilet running since we got Pouncer... hmmm.. interesting!

:D :D :D :D

Ken, you are just too sweet for words! Your mom better watch out or I'll skip on over and steal you away! ;)

LOL!! Kitties are so funny and who knows what they are going to like and if that will change by next week!!
My pete used to love watching the toilet flush. He would actually try to push me off of the pot so he could watch! Now he could care less! I'm with you Kim, I never get to go to the bathroom alone! Shutting the door when there is no company is an unforgivable sin!

Heaven Forbid if I should close the bathroom door for some privacy.

I get meowing and scratching on the door until I finally give in and open it.
Then I have Chipper coming in to get his drinky from the sink tap. Then my Katie girl who has to have her lovings 24/7.
Mookie who has to lie in front of the door and then my Buddy, who just cannot be without his mommy.
But the worse one is my sons cat, Sades, who expects me, while sitting on the toilet mind you, to pick him up so he can suckle on my neck. I did it at first when he first moved in with us, with my son, but now it's like, no, no, no, at least have the decency to wait until I finish please.
Awwww, but my life would be so empty without my furbabies.

Ken, you are such a gorgeous cat and I hope your days are always filled with playing in water.

Same here - no closed doors!
I find that cats with their curious natures cannot stand a closed door. That door could be open all day and he would not care less but ... as soon as you close it -"I MUST GO IN THERE NOW!!"
silly kittes!

Maine Coon's are known to be "water" cats. Mishi is fascinated with water too, although he's too big and clumsy to get up into the sinks or the bathtub by himself. He will usually meow plaintively and look up at me with his HUGE green eyes to please let him play in the bathtub. I always oblige my silly big boy and put him in there. When he's done he will meow again to let me know he's done playing and wants me to rescue him.

As for closed doors, the only place my cats are not allowed is in the closets. Other than that, all doors are left open, ESPECIALLY the bathroom door. It is their favorite place to come and visit as they know they have a "captive" audience who will give them lots of attention.

Are cat Snickers ( who we had to get rid of for spraying ) did the samething! But he only wanted to go in the bathroom with me. So when I would go in I would close the door to where he could open the door. So he would put his paw on the crack and push the door open then use his head to go the rest of the way open. We would call him Mr. HandSome Pants:D or Handsome Kitty or Handsome One we called his alot of Handsome Names!:D

I'm convinced that we no longer have a bathroom, we are just renting one at Remus' conveinence.

He loves water too, last night the hubby flushed the toilet and Remus was so intent on watching he fell in! He jumpped out with this look on his face:  lol! Then he tried to play in the toilet again

He likes to sleep in the bathtub. I have to SPRAY him with the shower to get him out of there. Picking him up and puting him out doesn't work...he just jumps back in. One of these days Im expecting him just to shower with me lol!

Ken's gorgeous! He sounds like a fun little guy to have around.

My Ripley is a Maine Coon mix and was really into the water thing when he was younger. Now at 12 he's only interested in drinking it. Jazz has now become my water girl. She doesn't play in it but she has to watch it come out of the faucet.
