Most dogs will scratch, or prance and whine to let their owners know they need out. But what does Muffin do? She gets her own leash out!

Muffin has a wicker basket that we keep all of the dog-related things in. Her leash goes into this basket, along with treats, toys, etc. Now every time she wants to go out, she throws her leash out of the basket and onto the floor!! Where did she come up with this one? *scratches head* Anyhow, she makes sure she makes quite a racket while doing it so she's absolutely sure we hear.

Anyone else have a dog that has clever ways of telling you that "nature calls?"

Samantha will come up to you, nudge you firmly to make sure you notice, and prance to the back door.

Muffin it is the Border Collie in you coming out you smart girl. :D

Clover head butts the back door when she wants out and Elvis will just sit and wait and whine if needed. :D

Muffin sounds like a smart girl!

Disney will just get up and dance near the door and if that doens't work she will just sit and stare at you until you make eye contact.

You just HAVE to know that staring will work... because you can always tell when someone is staring at you! How clever!
