I had to throw one in that shows the back with the ladybugs (I collect them) Also, did you notice that the tails are a separate piece of cloth? They hang freely... so cute! and hand stitched faces... I treasure this quilt!!!

The most beautiful thing is that I have never met this woman, but she wanted to make me this quilt and make it especially for me. It's an indescribable feeling!

Wow Devon! That IS beautiful!!! It is gorgeous!!! What a wonderful and thoughtful gift with lots of loving care behind it.
The woman who made it is a member of the congregation where Jason grew up and was confirmed. They also helped to support him financially at college and now while he is in graduate school at the seminary (8 years total to become a pastor) Jason has another year of classes then they will head out for a year of vicarage which is sort of like "student pastoring". The ladies group does little things like adopt a seminary student, send clothing, small gifts, Christmas baskets and special things like this! The friend of mine has not met Devon but she chose to do this for her because she knows Jason and wanted to do something special for his wife :) So, she called and asked about Devon's favorite colors, things she liked, etc. It really WAS very sweet of her! The seminary students have a pretty rough time of it - most work several jobs, etc to make ends meet (and they never do) - so YES, this is an extra special gift!!:D

OH WOW!!! That is so beautiful. I love the colors!!! and the back with the lady bugs is so different. I am always amazed at how much talent other people have.....probally because I don't have very much talent. I would love to be able to do something like that.
