I just felt like venting just a little bit.
(At least 1-2 times month I go along my wood fence
and make sure their are no loose boards that
need to be nailed down or replaced.)
(I would be devastated if my dogs got out
and were hurt or hurt another dog.)

I was walking Rocky early in
the morning to a friends house.
(Rocky has fear dog aggression)

Their is a house about 4 blocks down, that
some construction has been going on.
Their is Rottie in the back yard, not sure if
it is the owners or their to guard the property.
The wood fence that is along the sidewalk is
very old.
I found out today one of the boards are loose.

The dog was very sneaky quiet and before I new it!
(surprised/scared me 1/2 to death)
It's head popped out of loose board and went for Rocky.
For a couple of seconds Rocky than stuck his head in his yard
and I think stunned the Rottie.
(Rocky is strong as an ox)
I was able to pull Rocky back and nobodywas hurt.

I wasn't able today, but tomarrow I think I will
leave a message in their mail box, or walk by and
knock on the door to let them know they
need to nail that board down before one more board
becomes loose and he gets out.

Their is another house, a few blocks down that also
has an old fence.
These people own an Akita and I think a
GSD mix. (both are dog aggressive and bark
at people walking by)

I left a note in their mail box last year and
talked to the owner that their gate
was comming apart and their Akita could almost
sqeeze through.
They fixed their gate "some what", and nailed some of their boards down.

That's my vent.

"Good fences make good neighbors" is a New England classic line, appears in Robert Frost's poem, Mending Walls

http://www.ketzle.com/frost/mending.htm

Maybe you should print it out and leave it with your notes, or is that my Yankee heritage showing through? ;)

Karen's so right!!! Good fences, good neighbors; especially when doggies are involved. Leaving a note is a good idea! Thankfully no one, or doggie was hurt:) Hugs to Sheba and Rocky! (How's little Pepper doing???)

Sandra,

Pepper is doing fine.
We took Rocky and her to the Park on Saturday.
She is such a happy fun dog!
BUT is she sooo SPOILED!! lol
Rocky follows her around like a little puppy.
