Umm... I mean Tuna :) He got neutered yesterday and wouldn't stop licking the wound so we got him an E collar. At first he thought it was a new toy and he seemed to enjoy playing with in, then he realized that it wasn't comming off and sulked for a bit. Now he seems to be ok with the E Collar, but I still can't help but giggle when I see him walking around.

If you look closely you can see his leg lifted up, he is determined to lick himself even with the cone.

Pocky decided to help him out a little

He had a hard time trying to figure out how to eat with the collar.

But not even the e collar could keep him from the Turbo Trak

And of course since Pocky is a good little girl, she doesn't need a silly collar.

Red always did compliment black! Makes him look so HANDSOME! Poor fella, how do they eat with one of those things on?

We had to get bowls that were small enough for the cone to fit around so that when he puts his head down into the bowl the collar will sit around the dish. It took him a little while to figure it out, he kept bumping the collar on the dishes but eventually he figured it out and chowed down.

Aww, I've never seen a bright red one - very fashoinable!!!

He looks adorable but pitiful at the same time. Glad it's not stopping him from having fun on the turbo trak.

I don't remember Pocky having so much orange in the other pictures. Is more of it coming out or do I just not remember correctly? She sure is pretty!

She's always had the orange. This was taken the day she came home.

:D :D :D Poor little conehead.....I know shouldn't laugh but to see them bumping all over the place at first is priceless.

Kisses to you sweet Tuna. Don't worry, as Laura's Babies says, the red really does accentuate the natural highlights of your fur......:)

Well, for a while I thought it was Pokey because that's how it's pronounced, but then Alexa corrected me and said that it's spelled Pocky. But I think if they sound the same then why not just spell it Pokey? (heehee I hope she doesn't read this :)).

I'm glad to know that because I was thinking I was crazy when I saw you were spelling it Pocky now.

I have always thought they looked so cute with those cones on them. Sort of like walking around with a your head being served in a bowl!

Poor Pokey, maybe it won't be on much longer.

I really do need to get Grover one of those turbo traks, are they expensive? I just know Grover would love one.

Thanks for the pictures, I think Pokey looks so sweet!

Awww! Cute pictures. LOL I can't help but giggle but, I'm sure he doesn't think it's too funny. Soon little guy it will be off. :)

He only sulked?! Mine would have spent hours trying to figure out how to get it off or try to run away from it.

Giggle, giggle. Poooooooorrrrrr Tuna!!! Although it is really cute, I feel bad for the poor guy. Oh well, I guess if anyone can pull off wearing a lampshade and still looking good, it must be Tuna.

On a side note, why did I think the girl was called Pokey? Just so I'm not calling her the wrong name, is it Pokey or Pocky?

Because I used to spell it as Pokey :) My girlfriend corrected me and said that even though it is pronounced like Pokey it's spelled Pocky.

Not really, they are about $10 but they are worth it. They also love scratching the cardboard in the middle, and it's double sided so when they tear it up you just flip over the cardboard. They also sell replacemnet cardboard it's around $5 for two of the carboard replacements. When Alexa got her kittens I told her the first toy she had to get was the turbo trak.

How cute! Both kitties, of course.

Also, I found it helpful when the guys were 'coned' to put the food on an elevated surface...like the little phone books they make now. Then, when they eat, they don't hit the floor with the cone, as the food bowl is closer to them. Get it?

One of our kitties had to wear an e-collar for a while. We'd set out some kitty treats and Peaches figured out she could drop the collar over the treats and no one else could get at them. She'd then take her time munching on them while Mango could only watch... and listen.

Awww what a cute little conehead. Poor baby though.
How long does he have to wear the cone?

Pocky is such a pretty cat. I just love her coloring and markings.

Ohhhh, poor baby! Tuna is precious ... and I LOVE the picture of him looking bewildered in the middle of his toy! :D
If he was neutered, he should be fine without the collar, they lick it alot, but shouldn't cause any damage!;)

Pockey is gorgeous... looks so pretty on the pillow!:)

Awwww . . . . what a fashion statement, Tuna! :D You were a smart boy to figure out how to eat with that thing on your head. Hang in there, handsome! (psssst, I bet your sister’s actually jealous that you get to accessorize and she doesn’t! ;) )

Those cones are so funny. They’re simultaneously pity-inducing and cute, cute, cute! I remember when my old roommate’s cat had to wear one after his surgery, way back in days long gone, when he was just a little thing. It was the standard big, white cone. And he managed to get out of it the first day, and chewed up the band that held it on. We had to take a strip of pink fabric and use that to tie it back on . . . so the little boy cat was walking around with a white “bonnet” and a pink ribbon! It was so cute that I was actually sad when he got to take it off for good. Heh.

Wow . . . now THAT'S an evil genius!!  Sounds like something my brother would do . . . if he were a cat. ;)
