I found this recently whilst dregding the internet (for nothing in particular) and thought it might be of interest to someone
http://www.bitboost.com/pawsense/

I have often wondered what sort of serious accidents people have had when their favourite feline decided it was time to enter the IT workforce. I have had a PC shutdown on me before http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif I was just sitting near my PC when I noticed a scramble of paws followed by the sound of my PC powering off. Nothing was lost but it did surprise me; the next closest "operation" was when I returned to my PC to see the dialogue box asking me to confirm the delete action!

...mind you, after 15+ years I've had a PC I guess there could have been worse incidents!

I have heard about that software from some of the e-mail newsletters I subscribe to, but I had not actually visited their site before. I love that dialogue box "cat-like typing detected"! I haven't had a problem in a long time, but my old, fat cat Zebo once laid across the keyboard. Fortunately that was in the old, old days of MS-DOS when things could not be deleted with only one or two keys being pressed, and I was in Wordperfect that automatically back up every few minutes, so he did no irreversible damage. Which was a good thing since I was working on a term paper that represented half my semester grade!

My computer is in my bedroom and the only time my cats walk on my keyboard fortunately is in the early hours of the morning when I am asleep (it is turned off) and they want me to know they are ready for breakfast. If they walk on me and meow and still get no response their next tactic is to walk on the keyboard and printer. They know that will get a reaction! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Pretty clever! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif

...I guess we should be grateful that our feline friends aren't logging on to the internet and ordering home deliveries from wholesale butchers!

That last post gave me an idea. I wonder if Meow Mix has thought of a cat at a computer ordering their food. Their "Meow, meow, meow, meow" being typed in a chat room, BBS, or order form. Just stuck me as a funny image.

Borris likes to watch the screen saver, my husband has made him an underwater scene with lots of fish swimming past. He also likes to sit on the back of the office chair as we are working and talk us through what we are doing on the computer. But his total favourite thing, when the computer is not in use, is sending faxes! He has sent four and has tried hundreds of times!! Luckily they have all been test pages so far so the worst we get back is that our fax attempt has failed!!

I just remembered another computer incident with Zebo. One day he was lying across the printer - this was about a decade ago when printers were still quite large and boxy. I went to print something, and suddenly it sprang to life, causing Zebo to jump from a sound sleep about two feet in the air, hissing the whole way! I felt sorry for him but still couldn't stop laughing! He never laid on the printer again! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

My former cat Halley never learned to use a computer, but he was pretty good with the telephone. Once i walked into the den to find him, having knocked the receiver off the hook, staring attentively at the earpiece as the voice repeated "sir, if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again." I wonder who he was trying to call.

4 Feline House.....Very funny site. What will they think of next! I clicked on the "Bathe and Carry" contraption, thinking that it would be helpful for bathing a cat. It looks interesting, but I didn't see a way for human hands to get into the "cage." Also, I wonder if they come in small, medium and large. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif I would definitely need the large size for my Trevor. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif You mentioned in another post that one of your furbabies is 20 lbs. Trevor was so happy to hear that. He is sort of the "hefty guy" of the message boards but it sounds like now he has some company. Would love it if you could post a picture! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Hopefully, I will be able to post a pic of him soon, I have a roll at the store right now waiting to be developed, and I have requested the disc option.
