I have more photos of my friend's horses that I took when my daughter took her riding lesson last week.

This first photo is of one of my friend's dogs. His name is Rocky.

Wonderful pictures. How old is your daughter again? I think you've said it but my horible memory is taking a role here. :p

At first, when I opened the thread, expecting horsies, I see Rocky and i'm like "HUH?"

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.:)

Zippy, how are you with a horse that is a handful to ride?
Clips is a horse with a lot of go, when he walks he wants to trot, when he trots he wants to canter, when he canters he bucks!
He is a sweetheart as long as you are not on his back.;)
I know his owner doesn't want to part with him anyway so sorry you can't have him.:p

YLL, I do have photos of 10 other horses including an Arabian and a couple of paint horses but I don't have them ready to post yet.
Will you be back next weekend or the weekend after?
I can have them ready by then. You will just have to wait.;)

Kfamr, she just turned 8.

BCBlondie, one of your answers is right.:)
I will wait until EssTer replies to tell everyone the answer.

Delidog, I first thought Rocky was a Sheltie mix but I was wrong.
His owner got him from a breeder in Maine, I think his breed is pretty rare around here.
My daughter loves riding, she will be doing her first show this summer.:)

Those horses are so pretty. I really like the black one. The Morgan is nice, too. Looks like you had a pretty day for riding and taking pics. Sometimes with horses, you just have to be there a while and observe to get some good pics.
I edited this to say that I wasn't saying your pics were bad, by the way.

That's what I first thought he was, too. Maybe we're right. :)

Yes EssTer and GoldenRetrLuver, you are both right!:D :D
Rocky is an Icelandic Sheepdog!
I did a search on Google about the breed and found out that there are only about 150 of them in the US so they are pretty rare here.
I also found out that the breed description fit him perfectly, he is always happy and friendly, loves to greet people and loves living on a farm.:)

I love all the horse pics! Your daughter is soooo lucky. To this day I would still like to take riding lessons and have a horse. Maybe I should just go for it! Hmmm...I wonder how I find some place to take riding lessons. I'm probably too old and too fat :p

Rocky is beautiful! I also thought he was an akita mix when I first saw the pic. Gorgeous dog!

Thanks Sweet Sixy, RobiLee and Ramanth.:)

RobiLee, go for it!
It's never too late to try!
You should check out local riding stables and go on a trail ride.
They usually have calm horses that can hold men and women of all shapes and sizes.
Let me know if you want me to find a couple of links to stables in your area.:)
