I have posted about this cat before. It was her kittens I posted last time I was home but I think she has thrown this baby out of the house and is starving her to death for real now. Her normally long beautiful silky fur is gone and is replaced by dry, short hair that is falling out because of FLEAS! She is eaten up with fleas!! I gave her a flea treatment yesterday and am giving her 1/2 cup of Science diet 3 times a day and she gobbles it up like she is starving to death. She actually bites down on it ONE time, then swollows it and grabs more!! This is how she eats 3 times a day!! She is a very affectionate cat that is just as hungry for attention as she is for food for her body.. THIS is IT! I am going to DO something this time.. No one deserves a animal that treats it like this... Just LOOK at this once beautiful girl...

MY daughter said when she came over the day I got off to turn a light on for me and cut my hot water heater back on, she saw her and fed her, went home told her husband, "Mama is going to have a fit when she sees the shape that poor cat is in". I got in a few hours later and fed her again and she ate like she was starving... There in NOBODY to feed her when I am gone to work!!

Poor sweet kitty doesn't need such a crappy life! I'm glad you could help her flea problem. Chances are she's pregnant again (or nursing, stick a hand under her and feel for filled up teats). If I lived nearby I'd make her go "POOF" into the day, night whatever! I wouldn't care if the sorry excuse for a neighbor saw me or not. It's illegal to abandon an animal like that, but good luck finding anyone to enforce it. :( I find taking matters into my own hands solves it once and for all! ;) ;) ;) Jan

Checking her tits was the FIRST thing I did when I got my hands on her. They are dry. No signs of sucking everytime I have checked them. The babies would be as best I can figure, about 10 weeks old now so they are not needing her and she IS going "POOF" one night...

Good luck with the big *Poof*! She certainly deserves much better than she's getting. I just don't understand why this woman would be so adamant against you taking the cat when she could care less about it.

Oh Laura how sad she looks now. She was a beautiful girl and can be again with some love and care.
I'm so glad she is going to "POOF"! Where is she going to "POOF" too?
What a shame for that precious girl. She must have starved her while you were gone. It just makes me sick!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/mad.gif

Sirrahbed, I think we have another word for the furminology dictionary!!! "POOF" - a very kind form of catnapping for the life of the animal. http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/smile.gif
