Someone asked me if I had heard of a brand new vaccine for humans that would make them not allergic to cats. I had not heard of that.

I was wondering if anyone else knows anything about this?

I am hoping someone out there knows about a new shot. I know someone that loves cats enough, that she lives with her allergies.

She had heard of there being a new shot, and I was trying to investigate for her. Please, please, please, help give me info if you can. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

I may be wrong but I have never heard of such a shot, and given how many people are allergic to cats or their dandra (just for 4 feline house http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif ) I would be surprised if we hadn't heard of it.

Saying this, while I don't believe there is a vaccination shot (a one off) there may be injections that help in desensitisation towards the allergens...

It would be best to ask an immunologist/allergies specialist.

Good luck, perhaps someone else can give you a better answer?!
