My cousin's 11 week old kitten, ran out the door when someone left it open...

She has a sweater he sleeps on put outside, also his food, and toys...

Does an 11 week old kitty have sense of where he came from, if he got lost?

It depends on how long your cousin has had the cat. One of my RB babies that we got when she was 9wks was already escaping at 11wks. I wouldn't worry about it really. He's probably having fun>^.^<

If the kitten was an indoor kitten, then chances are he has no clue how to get back to his home. Ask all the neighbors to help find him. Chances are someone may have picked him up also. If so, maybe they brought the kitten to a shelter or vet. Alert all the vet clinics and shelters in the area about him being lost. And call him, he may recognise voices he knows. Does he have any collar or tags to help identify him? Poor baby...hope you're in an area that is safe from cars and preditors. :( Try looking under bushes, porches and all the areas around the property. Maybe he's scared and hiding. Good luck & keep us posted.

She has had him for about 3-4 weeks, but he's never got out before :(

They don't really have neighbors...not really, they live in an apartment building...they also live near alot of woods and also a high way :( :( :(

I'll keep you all posted....

Any more advice is really needed

WONDERFUL NEWS!!!! Time to buy a squirt bottle and teach that kitten that doors=squirts! Best way to train them to not run out the door. Thanks for the good news...Jan
