Gigi will have her tooth extraction tomorrow. As I have written in a previous thread (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50180) that her mother died having a reaction to the same surgery, even though her mother's situation was a "freak thing", but I can't help but worried. Please send all your good thoughts or prayer for Gigi. Thanks. :)

(((Hugs))) to you and Gigi both. I know how worried you must be but try and relax if you can. Once you get that phone call from the vet you will be able to exhale again!

The extraction went fine. She is quite tired and she ate some dinner. Though she whined a bit, probably in pain?? I am gonna let her rest now. I hope she is not in any pain. :( Thanks for all the good thoughts. Keep them coming!!!

edit: I heard her crying in her den. :(

Thanks for all the good vibes, wishes and prayers. :) Today Gigi is almost completely back to normal, though she is a bit more tired than usual and her poop this morning...hmm... I think she has diarrhea. Usually she has pretty firm stool, but this morning... it's "unpickupable" :o Sorry, it's kind of gross. So I am guessing it's the medicine she is taking. Because she was fine before that. What do you think???

Sorry, I didn't see this until after the surgery. Glad things went okay for Gigi - she is such a little sweetheart. I would guess that the medication caused the diaharrea. Stress can also affect their digestion.

What is the medicine she is on, at work sometimes with certain ones that can happen. Glad to hear she is feeling alittle better :)

Antibiotics can wreck havoc on the plumbing, Jen. And general anesthesia sends all the major systems into chaos for a few days. Keep an eye onher and if the diapoooies continue, give the vet a call! Maybe a bland diet for a few days might be good idea, too...boiled chicken or cooked ground beef, drained, with some white rice. Feel better soon, sweetie!:)
