Today my sister got a kitten, and we were wondering how he should be fed, because he just got taken away from his mother (he is old enough of course) Does anyone have any feeding suggestions? how much canned food should we have him eat? We have no idea what to do, so please help!

Kitten chow! Start there, then ask your vet!

I know what your sister is going through. I got a kitten a month ago because his mother had died. What I did was get dry kitten food and pour milk over it. The food get soft. I'd heat it up for a few seconds, and he went to town. He is now able to eat just dry food, but I still feed him the mush stuff twice a day. I leave dry food out for him to eat when ever he gets hungry. He has gone from an underfeed, almost dead kitty, to a healthy, fighting, hyper kitty.

P.S. The mush is something that my vet recomended for me to do.

I would suggest buying kitten chow, then pouring water over it until moist-soggy. Milk gives kittens bad stomach pains, gas, and sickness if fed too often milk. Then I would suggest slowly adding less and less water until she/he can eat solid food. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
