I found 2 kittens earlier today! They are both girls, and sooooo cute!!

After I bring them to the vet and have them tested and get them their shots, and etc., we are going to be finding a good home for them. We already have 3 cats, and 4 dogs, so we can't keep 2 more kitties even though I really really would like to keep one of them..

Anyways, on to the pics.

I really like the one that has more orange on it.. :)

About how old do you guys think they are? I don't know that much about cats.

What beautiful kitties!!! You're always helping an animal in need. These kitties are lucky they found you to take care of them until they get permanent homes! :) Great pics!

I found them at the local park when I was there earlier this afternoon with my puppy.

They were near the pond at the park, and I was afraid the aligators in the pond were going to eat them, so they came home with me instead... :)

Its hard to tell , without anything as a reference point , but to me , they seem, to be about 8 weeks old , as they do havesome growth , to them. And the people that abandoned them , should be Alligator Bait!

They are so cute! Best wishes for a great vet visit, and thank you so much for keeping them safe and finding them homes.

What are their names?

I haven't named them yet... simply for the fact, "don't name what you don't want to get attatched to"... Lol.

But, I think they need names anyway instead of me calling them "kitty1 and kitty2"..

Any suggestions?

Age- 12 to 14 weeks, I'd guess. I hope you are going back to the pond to search for other litter mates! There could have been one or two or three more hiding somewhere nearby. If mom was dumped, they would likely stick by her. I'm assuming they are friendly which tells us they were handled by people already... Please do a few searches. You could put one kitten in a carrier and put it in some bushes (or wherever it seems likely a cat would hide with kittens, or kittens without mom). Kitten in carrier would hopefully start to cry in a half hour or less- attracting litter mates over. You'd have to situate yourself somewhere where you could see the carrier but far enough away to allow any littermates to feel safe to go to the cries- you wouldn't want them to be able to see you, in other words. After the kitten starts to cry, give it a good hour for any possible littermates to go to him.
Just saying what I would do!! Good luck with the ones you have, they look adorable! Let us know what the vet says about their health!

They are so adorable! :) As Leslie say, I too think it's a good idea to go and see if there are other litter mates, and if the mother is around.

I hope the vet visit goes well and you find good homes for them. Thanks for helping them. :)

I think they should be together if they love each other.
Maybe you could keep both.2 more in your house wouldn't be too much trouble.I have 9 cats now.The last one queenscoopalot rescued at 1 day old and now he's with me my husband and the other 8 cats we have.carla and mike

Did you go back to look for other littermates and mom or not?

Leslie,

Any other kittens would be dead by now four days later, no point looking anymore.

Lets hope that poster went back the same day to look for them OR someone else found the other one/two kittens :(

(Kittens are normally in litters of four)
