Last weekend, we were going to make some cheesecake with some friends. When I got the mixing bowl out Noah decided it would be his new hang out. Now, wherever we put the mixing bowl is where he sits! Check him out...

And....one morning when my hubby woke up, he found another hang out...thank goodness we don't have any birds yet! :)

Dear NM,

Seeing Noah in the mixing bowl makes me wonder if he's a mixed-up character. (Sorry for the pun.) Boy, he's a beauty, isn't he?

Love that little mousie tucked under his arm.

I was toying with the idea of a bird cage to hold growing herbs in to keep them from being nibbled. Based on your photo this might not be the protection I was hoping for...

Beautiful pictures of Noah!! How precious! It takes me back to Trevor's kitten years before he grew into the 20 lb. cat that he is today! He is also an orange kitty but Noah has a beeeaaauutiful tail. Trev's is a little skimpy, but don't tell him I said so! ;)

Growing herbs in there would look so pretty!! But, you are right, I bet it would drive the cats crazy!! :)

Tantalyzing the babies -- there is another great reason to do it!

Just saw your other variation on Noah in a bowl. Marvelous! Sooooo precious. I can't get over how fast he's growing. It's eerie, like how fast Kitty and Casper are, too.

Re. the birdcage as herb-garden -- actually, a friend and I are probably going another direction on this. After Christmas we're going to build something like an indoor hutch to grow herbs in under a growth lamp. (My condo gets lots of light, but almost no direct sunlight which almost all of the herbs I want to grow seem to need.) We started brainstorming the other day over lunch and we're going to build a 'hutchlette' for each of us to keep the herbs safe from furbabies. When we started to figure out when to do it we realized how quickly the holiday season is coming up upon us. Amazing isn't it?

AmberLee,

That sounds like such a cute idea!!! I would love to do that in our apartment. We get lots of sun to, but it's in the morning and isn't strong enough for a lot of the flowers/plants I want to grow. Where are you going to get your light?

Re: growing up so quick!! I totally know! I have watched Noah, Casper and Kitty (I think Luna too!) grow up since summer and it is unbelievable how big they are all getting! :)

Hi Noah, greetings from a fellow bowl dweller :D You sure are a funny kitty!! Love, Oliver

My Oliver loves pasta, among other uniquely human foods! So much so that whenever he sees the blue collander come out, he sits (IN IT) and waits for his s'getti's!! :D Actually, I missed the shot of him "fully submerged." This was taken just shortly after I had lifted the pot off the stove. He knew things were about to get very hot!

Oh Sandra/Tats,

Did you HAVE to post that? Olivia's susceptible heart just goes pitta-pat when whenever her Oliver shows up. I get kitty nose marks on my monitor whenever he appears. I hadn't realized what a May-November romance it was, though. She is 30 months old now, born 4/11/99. Is Oliver 12 months yet?

Regards through a bleary screen.

Oh Amber, let me tell you! It's hard being a Mom! My Oliver is just smitten with beautiful Olivia. We printed her picture and Oliver can be found drooooling as he gawks at the picture, taken over by her beauty. In the distance can heard the plantiff wail of a boy in love! Oliver says to tell you that he was 1 yr. in May. So lets see, well that's about 18 mos. Still within the limits of accepability, don't you think? Oliver hopes Olivia doesn't mind a younger guy. It's not by much!! We should ask Spencer if there's any way we can splice a pic. of Olivia and Oliver together. That may be as close as they'll ever get! :( One thing for sure, Oliver is in LOVE... L-U-V!!!

You're right -- it's a heavy responsibility to be a mommy to a fur-baby, especially a smitten one like my love-sick Livvy. Since we are at opposite ends of a continent, isn't it lucky that Olivia can't push the buttons on a phone and run up the phone bill mewing to your cutey-pie Oliver? Whew, dodged a big one there!

I rather thought a certain operation awhile back would have simplified life in this love-sick regards, but when a certain young hunk is in question ... she just goes whippy tail with excitement ...

Re. the age thing, we've talked it out and a thirteen month difference is really nothing, although she's relieved that he is respectably deep into his teenage months. :D

A certain fuzzy someone is blowing kisses to your young lad. [And is sooooo mad that I'm turning the computer off while I go gallivanting this weekend. I think she'll miss Oliver more than she'll miss mommy. ;) :( Love from O. to O. across the miles.]

P.S. Her eyes are Thompson grape green although they look amber in this photo. Sometimes her eyes look teal when she drools over Oliver's photos, a sign that worries this mommy somewhat!

Oh no!!! A whole weekend without access to his Livvy Love :( Amber, you've made my weekend a difficult one! Inconsolable is the only word to describe his mood. He's planning something here, I can tell....phone call, letter, something! He just wants to know his Livvy is HIS and HIS ALONE!! Even if it has to be a long distance romance. And he would like to apologize for making the age spread a few months more than it is! It was him mommy's bad math. He think's Olivia looks like she's barely old enough to date! And if he ever gets a good look a those gorgeous green eyes (his favorite) I think he'll just faint dead away. Well, he'll be waiting patiently, and sadly, (he hasn't touched his food since I gave him the news) till he hears from the girl of his dreams. Oliver sends lots of kisses and purrrrrrs to his Livvy!!

Yep, Noah is in a new bowl already! He lost his bowl when we carved our Halloween pumpkins. So, he got our huge colander! (It is WAY too big for us (it came with a 3-colander set with different sizes) to use, so guess who inhereted it?? He looks too cute sitting in it with the handles on the side....pictures will be here soon! :)

Noah's Mommy,

How precious! And I LOVE that the colander has handles ... does Noah let you pick him up in it?
