Friday night we had a picnic with our therapy dog group. I didn't get as good of pictures of some of the dogs as I would have liked, but I thought I'd share anyway!

Mother and Son Irish Setters (Harry on the left, Maddieon the right) Poor Harry was borh with a malformed leg...his joint goes the wrong direction. He is such an adorable littl eball of puppy though!

I don't know this little papillion's name

This is Slip, a Kelpie. I wish I had gotten a better icture of her sweet face. She was rescued two weeks ago, at 18 months of age. Until that point she had never been out of a kennel...never been on a leash, or worn a collar. She had puppies at 8 months old, becuase her brother was kept in the same kennel with. She has a very good home now, with a woman who does herding competions and with 4 other herding dogs

I wish I had gotten a clearer picture of Kiddo. She is a sweet pit bull.whippet mix. She has the face of a pittie, and then is super skinny and deep chested like a whippet. Such a goof!

How neat, Amy! :)

I especially loved "meeting" Harry! It is very unusual to see an Irish Setter (at least around here). He is so handsome!!!! :)

I didn't know of too many around here until we joined the therapy group. There are five Irish setters in our group. Before that, the only one I knew was my cousin's dog when we were growing up. They are a fun breed:)

Loved the pics! That is so cool that you're doing therapy work Cincy's mom. I would love to do that with Oz. He's calmed down quite a bit, but he'd still be too rambunctious for most. I can just see him knocking over some frail lil' old person. Ah well, maybe Gully.

Of course Vera caught my eye too. She looks very much like my Rainbow Bridge dog, Whitney. :)

It is fun to see all the different breeds. We have every thing from Am Stafs, to pit s and chows, to little chihuahua and papillions to rotties, dobermans and mastiffs. Rare breeds like Havenese and Wheten terriers to more common ones like labs, shepards and goldens. And of course all the mixes in between!
