yes, my cat gizmo plays fetch (and better than any dog i've ever had) - of course he is a cat so we only play fetch (a.k.a. mouse) with certain toys, typically toy mice, and of course only on his terms - when gizmo wants to play though he'll drop the mouse in your outstretched hand every time http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

My cat loves to fetch the plastic rings from gallons of milk. He runs to the kitchen where he hears us opening a new gallon. We throw it and he retrieves it, carrying the ring in his mouth. Our other cat is embarrassed by this dog-like behavior. :-)

Absolutely. My Monte is a chocolate Burmese and he learnt to fetch within a day of coming home to me. He now finds scraps of paper, toy mice and various bits and pieces and brings them to me when he wants to play.
I have often woken to find a toy mouse on my pillow, and many a time discovered a toy or paper in my shoes! He is a delight.

My black cat Foster used to play fetch ALL THE TIME when he was a kitten. He had two best toys for fetching:

(1) I wear "Cornsilk" brand face powder, and it comes with a round, white, furry powder puff. I prefer to use a sponge, so whenever I get new powder, the new puff goes to Foster. (There's probably a whole herd of 'em under the refrigerator by now, and believe me they don't stay white.) Anyway, Foster hadn't fetched in MONTHS, but I opened a new package of powder recently when he was nearby, and he started dancing around and chirping. Maybe the new-puff smell triggered his memory, but he wanted to fetch! So, I threw the puff across the room and, sure enough, he brought it back. He was only good for 3-4 times, though, as opposed to his kitten days, when he would fetch nonstop as long as someone would keep throwing. My dad once tried to outlast him and could not! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

(2) The other best-fetching toy for Foster was a clear, plastic circle that came on a new pair of socks (to hold the two socks together). It is about 1.5" diameter, and has the added factor of being transparent, making it a little more challenging for him to find once he got across the room.

Word to the wise: Beware of fetching-related tragedies--once you throw that toy, wherever it lands is where the cat will go. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif So if that toy lands in the potted plant, and disaster occurs, it's your fault--not the cat's! (I'm not that great of a thrower, so we had a few incidents...)

My Siamese-Burmese cross used to leave something for me in my slippers every morning..... but now he's at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for me...

Sabrina she play fetch with choclate wrapper anything that is sunny. My two cats don't play fetch, they rather play on their own. Sabrina learn how to play fetch very quickly. She could for a long time until she gets tired and if know throws it for her she would give you a evil eye and just stare at you. When she wants to play, she would meow and drop the chocolate wrapper right in front of you. It is soo funny to watch.

Juni is crazy about fetch. She can play fetch in the morning when I have to leave for work, in the night when I want to go to sleep, all day long if we stay at home. And she can make a toy of everything. She has her favorites though - the Doggy, Picachiu, some skeins and a sheet of paper packaged in some kitchen polyethilene, but the best is, of course, the former pin cushion.

It's totaly worn out, but she still likes it. I guess, it flies better than the others

That's her exercise routine, she stays fit. She's almost three, but she's so slender.

This is how she gets excited when you throw the toy. Better keep your fingers and legs out of her way.

Looking for the toy.

Again.

And again. I can tell you, she liked this one very much. She lets me know if she doesn't like how I throw the toy or if I am not very enthusiastic.

Walking VERY proud with that skein in her mouth.

Now you have an idea of what I get through all my spare time.

Mishka loves it, will bring it back as long as I throw it.
Actually last night at about 2am he brought his mousie (the one that rattles AND has a bell...of course) and dropped it on my head.

Yea, My cat cinder loves to play fetch. When we first adapted her she loved to play fetch with bean bags (she came from a dump where someone dropped her off and she is used to hunting) and she just loves to go after these little tiny fake mouses. :)
