? for Cocker or same sized dog owners - bed size

I've been making little round cat beds for my kitties and now a friend has asked me to make one for her cocker spaniel. What size is right for a Cocker Spaniel bed? The beds I make are round with a stuffed ring around it.

My little dog Disney can sleep in the cat beds but then again she is just 10 pounds so I have no idea how big to make it for a 35 pound (I think) Cocker.

I'd go online and search for dog beds. Most will give you measurements and breeds that are comfortable in the beds. I know most of the pet stores (Petsmart, Petco, Petland) sell those round (or oval, square, etc) beds that are just a base and a stuffed side all the way around. And, they will usually tell you the breeds. :)
