I am so excited to read this, so I wanted to share it with you all, as I know there are many who's lives have been touched by Breast Cancer, one way or another.

New Zealand leads Breast cancer breakthrough.

New research suggests women could soon be immunised to help guard against BC.

Scientist in Christchurch and Dunedin schools of medicene and the university of Melbourne have established a link between a common virus and the cancer.

Doctor Ann Richardsons says research suggests those women under 40 who contract cytomegalovirus have a higher chance of developing BC later in life.( my mother could have been one of these people)

More research is needed to establish a timeline as to how the virus may influence the development of BC.

And this is the best part, It could eventually lead to children being immunised against the virus to protect them from contracting it later in life.

This may not help those right now, but anything that leads to an eventual cure or prevention is GREAT NEWS.

Also in another five years we won't have to experience a mammogram as we know it now, it will be painless, good news for all women.
