Wild hare attacks man
A German man suffered bite wounds to his foot after he was attacked by a wild hare.
Juergen Marwedel was standing in a meadow near his home in Bargfeld when he noticed a friend on his moped.
"Suddenly he stopped, waved his arms and kept calling for me," Mr Marwedel told the Cellesche Zeitung.
As he approached his friend, it turned out a big hare had bitten into the rear tire of the moped and wouldn't let go.
When Marwedel tried to get the animal off, it turned to him and bit through his shoe into his foot.
Marwedel told the paper he couldn't get the hare off his foot and eventually had to kill it with a stick.
He took the dead hare to district vet, Dr Eckhard Peters, who confirmed the hare was not rabid.

I hate it when I get 'hare' on my shoes.
