I have no idea if I already asked this, I dont think so. Oh well all I would like is if you guys could give me Brands or Types of cameras that are good. I am saving for a new dig. and would like some ideas. Thanks a bunch~

I am not planning on spending the most on one but ideas would be greatly appreciated.:)

There have been many other threads like this, so I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find it. :p

I have a Canon Powershot A-70. It's a GREAT camera, and very user friendly. I spent around $350.00 for it; but that was when it first came out. I'm sure it's less expensive now.

I just got the canon powershot A80, so far I like it but I can't really say too much about it since I've only had it for a few hours!

I've got a Canon Powershot A60 (2 megapixels) and a Sony Cybershot Dsc-T1 (5 megapixels). Both are great cameras but I prefer my Canon over the Sony as the Canon is able to use regular AA batteries (the Sony uses a rechargable Sony type thing), the Canon has more functions and the prints from the Canon come out much richer in color.

My Canon was $430 Canadian (after taxes) but the price has dropped dramatically since I bought it. The Sony is being sold for $856 Canadian (before taxes).

I have a Canon Powershot A60 -- so another votes for the Canon.
FujiFilm cameras are great as well. I don't like Sony or Kodak all that much.

I can't vote. I have a Kodak, and I don't like it. :p

I am looking at a Canon though.

I have a Nikon and I love it. Mine is a 2.o megpixel. I bought Christy and Brian a Canon for Christmas and it takes great pictures. It's a 3.2 megapixel and I think it was a Canon 300.

I would go with Canon if you can spend that kind of money, if not, do what I did and get one of the Fuji Fine Pix. I've been very happy with mine.

Ours is a Toshiba PDR-4300 with 4.0 mega pixels. I really like it, we got it for $250 Canadian dollars on futureshop.ca, boxing day sale.

I had the Toshiba PDR-2300 (2 megapixels). It made good pix outside but the flash pix were off colour. I have sold it now and bought a Canon Digital Ixus II with 3,2 Megapixels.

I use the pictures mainly for PT or for sending them online to others, so I don't need maximum pixel number. The Ixus is stainless steel, so it's very tough (one guy on the web sad he took it for mountainclimbing and sat down on it several times but it was ok :D) and it's so small I really take it everywhere. It was 270 Euro (ca. 320 US$).

A good website for checking is www.dpreview.com

I have an Olympus c50 with zoom. It's 5 megapixels, does all sorts of things. It was pricey, but worth every penny!

I have an Olympus D-510. I think it takes great pictures. I paid $300 for it 2 years ago but you can buy a better, similar one for much less.
