I ordered some 'Cat Grass' and sterile soil online and grew some for Julie. She loves to nibble the grass outside so I thought I'd try for some good oat & wheat grass for her when she is inside. She loves to nibble it and stand her front paws in it. I read on the web page that it is like salad for the kitties and it helps with digestion and such. Since she won't eat anything but her dry food, this little bucket of greens has proven to be quite the treat for her.

Anyone else grow cat grass for their Kitties?

I haven't had much luck growing it as I keep forgetting to water it, however I have discovered that I can buy organic wheat grass at my local Safeway for about $1.29; Petco sells the same thing, calls it "cat grass" for $5.99! My cats love it.

My cats love it. Jazz begs for it everyday. I buy the seeds by the pound from sellers on ebay.

I used to give cat grass because Max loves it but I got tired of cleaning up all of the "grass puke" so I stopped it.

My kitties love that grass....I just hate to pay so much for it at the pet store! Great idea to grow my own. :)

Ally loves it, but she is a really messy eater - it gets spread all over the kitchen floor!

I think I will try to grow my own - the small "cat grass"here retails for $9.00

On a whim , I bought the Cat Grass , andwithin three Days the Cats destoyed it! And you can get a lot of things , like dishes, scoopers and such , at the Dollar Sore, much less expensive than the Pet Supply Stores!

Julie doesn't puke when she eats it. Now if the dog goes out and eats grass, you can guarantee it will come up.

Beau and Felicia have grass that I bring in from outside. So far, I have not been able to grow any I have bought at Petco.

I am confused:rolleyes: -nothing new about that! What is the "grass? Not lawn grass right? If I buy the seeds like as a garden store - what are they called? Oat or wheat seeds? Cat grass seeds? Does it grows oats and wheat or is that just the name of the grass?? DUH:confused:

Do they eat cat grass? I'm assuming so. I was looking at it the other day at Pets Mart when I went to buy Catnip for a certain PT kitty.:p

Yes, they eat it. Julie loves to bury her face in it.
