Scout's "Royal Septre"

After reading Sirrahbed's updated Furminology Dictionary I discovered that there is a PT name for something Scout does. She extends her "Royal Septre". She will walk up to people she likes and stretch her leg and paw forward to them. I got a picture of her doing that to me today but she was already pulling back by the time it snapped. Sorry it's blurry.

I LOVE Scout's royal sceptre!!! Purrfect!! It's like "I like you - you may kiss my paw if you so choose!" Wow what an honor! Eliot does this from the top of the dresser when I talk sweet to him and IF the mood strikes him and of COURSE I kiss the royal sceptre!!:D
*edit - I keep coming back to look at Scout - trying to figure out just WHAT it is about her sweet little face that makes her have a puzzled or worried expression - it is the sideways tabby markings above and beside her eyes!!! See what I mean?? They give her such a serious and concerned expression!!! Sort of a Queen Mother look:D Guess it goes with her Royalty!!!

Looks to me like it was (SWAT!) PAY ATTENTION TO ME MOMMIE!
Those markings above her eyes do give her a worried or frowning look.. Adding character to her face for sure.

What a BEAUTIFUL orangie!!! I know I say that a lot...but in Scout's case, its especially true.

Allen;s little heart is beating faster now that he's seen lots of pitctures of his favorite orangie girl! She is so pretty and definately has an air of royalty about her!!!

Tubby does this, but only when he's begging and we're ignoring him. He'll reach up and put one paw on Terry's leg - not mine because he knows it's useless on me. :p ;)

And Peanut, every now and then, when she's laying near us or on Terry when he's on the computer, will stretch out that one paw. Here's a really old picture of her holding out her royal septre. The bad news is that at the time we had no idea we were to go on bended knee and kiss the royal septre. We now know much better and will pay proper homage whenever we see it again. :D
