I've been asked a few times to post some pics of the Yukon so here are a few I took this weekend..

This is Little Atlin Lake. It's about an hour from my house. We have friends who have lakeshore property. I use it as my personal dog park--with their consent of course.

Another view from the lake shore.

Some crocuses. They are everywhere this time of year.

This is the old Whitepass Rail line. Parts of it still operate as a tourist attraction in Skagway. This section is abandoned and makes a great walking trail. I take the dogs here all the time.

This is Wolf Creek. It's about a 20 minute walk from my house. The dogs like to go swimming there sometimes. The creek is really dirty right now with the run-off, but in a couple weeks, it will be crystal clear.

Wow!!! Those pictures are stunning!!! You live in such a gorgeous place! Is it still cold there? When did the snow melt?

It's not cold during the days right now. Usually it's between 8-12 Celcius, but it's still freezing every night. The snow has been gone for a few weeks, except little pockets of it in the trees. That line in the lake pics that kinda looks like land is actually ice. The bigger lakes are still partially frozen.

46 - 53 degree Farenheit. That is COLD for May! What's the hottest it ever gets in Yukon?

We get a few days in the high 20's Celsius (low 80's Farenheit). Usually in the summer we are between 12-24C.
