Woman, 102, survives fall from window
Doctors in Turin have hailed a 102-year-old woman a "miracle" after she fell out of a fourth-floor window and survived with just a few scratches.
The Italian centenarian lost her balance and fell out of the window of the retirement home where she lived, reports the Ansa news agency.
Staff at the home found the elderly lady lying in the courtyard and called an ambulance.
The woman had suffered no broken bones or other serious injuries and just had a few bruises and scratches.
A hospital spokesman said: "It's a miracle she wasn't killed, yet alone had no broken bones. All that good Mediterranean food and olive oil has kept her strong."
