It's Gully Time (Puppy Pics)

Picked up my new collie puppy yesterday. WooHoo!!! He's a live wire. Thank goodness I've got Oz to help me out, pooping him out. :) He's equally adorable too. He's already giving me nose kisses and rolling over for belly rubs. Oz absolutely adores him. Got lots of pics of the two of them together. Murph is still adjusting, but doing okay with him. Feel like I need to be a lil' more watchful when he and Murph are interacting, so haven't got shutterbug happy with both of them together yet.

I think his name's going to be Gulliver, aka Gully. I called out Gully Gully and he came running to me, so maybe that means he likes it. He is one playful lil' dude. Been chasing Oz all over the yard. Pouncing on Oz's head and yanking out his chest hair. Oz has been so gentle and wonderful with him. Murph's not quite so tolerant. The lil' guy nose poked Murph in the butt first thing, while Murph was trying to pee on the bushes. That didn't go over so well, but Murph really contained himself, just gave him a warning growl to knock it off. They're still feeling each other out, but I think they'll be okay with each other in a couple of days.

When I saw pics of Oz I tried looking up breeders in my area (just for fun, my parents would kill me if I asked for another dog) I'm planning on moving out in a couple years and I am researching as many breeds as possible. As soon as I'm settled I'm getting a dog when I move out. I couldn't find any breeders or info about smooth Collies around here. When I get serious abut moving out and getting a dog I know where to ask questions ;)

OMG....I am sitting here smiling from ear to ear! I am so happy for you! I didn't know you were getting another either. When I finally saw the pictures I actually let out a "awww". He is BEAUTIFUL! I love the name. Gulliver...Gully..perfect and he looks perfect. I have always loved Oz and now you have Gully....oh my this is heaven. How old is Gully? You better be posting lots of pics along the way or I am going to be one mad pet talker..hehehe. You make sure those big boys don't pester Murgh too much, although I have a feeling Murphy can take care of himself. I think I might have to pay you a visit and sneak a few furkids home with me :D

Thanks y'all!!! Boy they all have me hopping right now. On a perpetual cycle of Nap, Outside Potty and Play, Feed, Outside Potty and Play, Water, Outside Potty and Play. Oz and him have really been doing some playing. I'll have to call a break time, because Gully'll look tired, but keep on playing. So far he's napping real good during the break times. Very little crying and whining before he zonks out in the crate. Oz is doing a great job.:)

He's 9 weeks old. I left a few hints the last week about him, but didn't want to say anything official until I got him. I always worry about tempting fate to mention stuff before it happens.

Murph's doing better with him. It took him about 4 days before he warmed up to Oz when I brought him home as a puppy too. I'm giving him some extra attention, which I think is helping. Hopefully before the week's out I'll have some pics of those 2 playing also.

hey robilee, when I saw Katie and Tori, I kept hoping that everything would work out as well between Oz and Gully, as it has for them. I think Murph's hoping the same too. He's gotten to where he'd rather hang out with me getting petted vs playing with Oz. It's only been a day, but so far it's turning out pretty good for everybody. *keeping fingers crossed*

:D Yep, you're right. Cayter's dog Ozzy is also a smooth coated merle.

Words can not describe how happy I am for you (and Oz and Murph). I'm SO incredibly jealous right now. We'll be expecting (at least) weekly pictures! :D
