Pics of my new little naked boy Scooter :)

I got four new ratties today but I have only taken a pic of Scooter so far. They are all in quarantine at the moment and the next time I have the chance I will snap photos of the girls. Scooter is a Russian Blue point siamese dumbo double rex with HUGE ears, much too big for his body. :p He is going to fit in nicely with my breeding program and I am hoping for some quality show siamese markings from him.

I also got three girls. One Dumbo berkshire Russian Blue headspot, one beige dumbo rex english irish with AWESOME markings and a self dilute fawn (not Amber or beige) self. :)

Here are the photos of little Scooter. His name just shouted out to me and so that is what it is. Isn't he just precious?!:D

Chocolate is fine for rats, in small amounts. It acts as a bronchio-dilator and helps rats in respiratory distress breath a little easier. So it's perfectly fine in small amounts. If you give too much though, it's a cardio-stimulator meaning the rat will have a heart attack, but you need a lot to cause that to happen. It's not poisonous like it is dogs. :)

OMG you are in TN LOL! I didn't even notice! :D If they move we are going there for Christmas and we could have a mini Pet Talk meeting! :D That would be so cool. I don't think my mom would take a ratty LOL, as Denny dislikes them very much. He is terrified of them, that wimp. :p

BUT, if you really want one, (you would have to take two) I could bring them with me on the plane for Christmas. :) You could have two new christmas ratties! :D That would be so cool if we could meet. I would love to see Mario in person, maybe take a few pictures of him hanging from the ceiling all drunk on beer. :p

My mom wants to move there because that is where my family is. My aunt, grandma and grandpa live there so she would be really close to family. What city are you in? I will check with my mom and see what city they are thinking about going to. Would you be interested in meeting up? It wouldn't be til Christmas and this is even if she moves there, but it would be so fun! :D One good thing if she moves there is that I will have an even better excuse to visit as I would get to see my other family and Dylan could see his great aunt and his great grandma and grandpa. I just really wanted them to come here. It pisses me off. But she's a grown adult and there is nothing I can do about it now, sigh. :(

All of your rats are so pretty! I'm a dork, but, why did your efer to Scooter as "naked"? He looks like he has fur to me! And, I was told not to put furry rats with hairless rats (something about them scratching the hairless ones, not knowing to be gentler). Wrinkles looks fine, though! It's just that if I were to get another rat while Luli is still with me, I'd want to get a furry one....Anyway, I'd like to know! :) Again, your rats are all beautiful!

What gorgeous ratties you have! :) I've never seen so many beautiful colors all on one page. Around Mass. we have the standard bl&whites, and buff (cream) colored ones. I'm not up on my rat colors, but sure enjoyed looking at your gang. :D :) :D Jan

He's a naked boy. He is a double rex meaning that in just a few days he will be completely bald, and then he will grow the fur back. This line is double rex's tend to stay hairless most of the time though. He is already losing his fur now and the top of his body is pretty bald already.

As far as hairless rats with furred rats, I have always kept hairless rats with furred rats. If you have rats with good genetics you won't have rats that fight, therefor no need to worry about scratches. ;) I prefer my naked ones to be with furred rats as they have someone to snuggle up with to keep warm. :)

So Wrinkles is a true hairless while Scooter is a double rex/patchwork hairless. :)

I have quite a few colors here. I have mink, platinum, blue agouti, Russian Blue, black, charcoal, agouti, cinnamon, Honey cinnamon, beige, blue beige, with tons of different markings. I am hoping for some gorgeous Russian Silvers in the near future if all goes well. :)

Nope, but I may in the near future. I am hoping to have some dumbo Russian blue high white downunders soon if all goes well. Hoping for some masked/patched with DU markings, in RB too! Weeeeee I can't wait til that day. I am planning my first DU litter in just a few short days. I will be breeding OFR's Dumbo black berkshire collared DU boy to my dumbo berk RB girl for all dumbo black babies with a possibility of beige in berkshire downunder markings, all RB carriers and also a very slight possibility of American blue downunders and tailless. :)
