The Petco I work at has been looking for a dog trainer for quite a while now. They wanted somebody who was already certified and everything so I never really asked about it. Well today the manager approached me and talked to me about becoming their dog trainer. Apparently they've decided that they may train/certify their own trainers. He said he noticed how well behaved my dog was and that he listened well to me, he said he thought I'd be a good dog trainer. I was a bit surprised by all this, but I told him that I'm definitely interested! I have to wait until June to find out when they'll be training and all that, but I'll let you guys know. :D

Amy, that's wonderful news! :) I have a big smile on my face for you, sweet girl, not only because it's so exciting that you might get to be a dog training and help work with all those sweet other pups, but also because the manager was so impressed with your dog handling skills! You and Nebo must be a smooth running team by now. I bet Nebo would be a wonderful assistant to his Mom as well, hehe! I can just imagine him correcting the younger pups with a stern glare :D I hope that everything works out the way you'd want it to, Amy - good luck! I have my fingers crossed for you ;)

Congrats Amy! I've been teaching obedience classes for over 3 years now and every single class is still so much fun! I love to meet all the dogs and spend 8 weeks with them. You'll have a blast if you do it!

Awesome!! I hope it works out for you!!

I have thought about at least helping with training classes for awhile now...even talked to our trainer about it,but then never followed up. Maybe someday when I'm ready to give up dance and softball and...
