We took the dogs hiking at McKinney State Park in Austin. Gorgeous out there. I just love the hill country. It's so wild and primitive feeling.

Here's everybody getting their obligatory bluebonnet pic. Idj managed to roll in poop right before her pic, if you're wondering what that lovely looking goop is on her neck. My two, side stepped the poop, so as not to get dirty. :)

I was trying to get a pic of Murph in front of some flowers. He was having none of being in that tall grass. Might be snakelies in there he says.

Thanks aly! I just love that area up there. Especially the rock formations. Pedernales and Enchanted Rock are 2 of my fave places, but they're about 4-5 hours away from me. Now that I found McKinney at only 2 and a half hours, I'll definitely be heading back to that park. Maybe the next Texas get together can be there.

Aw thanks Goldenretrluver! Oz sends back a nose nudge.

I just love your pictures. Your dogs are soooo beautiful. Love that collie! What a beauty or should I say handsome boy?
I'm curious as to how you get pictures into the body of your message and not having to use the attachment?????? Do you have to have a website to transfer them from?

The "get along lil' doggie" pic had me LOL - was Oz really pushing Idgie with his nose?

Thanks DogLover and Jenfer! Collie nose nudges and terrier tail wags to y'all!!

hi cali! Idj isn't mine. She's my friend's. I just love her to death though. We became napping buddies, while they stayed with me. She really loves Oz, much to my friend's amazement. Her and Murph didn't get along so great though. Well at the house mainly. Out hiking they were fine, because Murph was focused on peeing on things and Idj was focused on tracking something to kill. No time to worry about each other.

hiya k9soul! Yep Idj got a nice lil' bath before she got back into the car. I was doing many thanks that my 2 didn't follow her in the roll. The terrier instinct is definitely higher in the Jacks. She was diving for holes and running into high brush, looking for stuff. Murph, I couldn't even get him to stay in the tall grass for 5 seconds to take a pic. He wouldn't leave the trail. Those trails are there for a reason he says. Easy access to pee on things.

hola Sandradee! Yep, Oz is a boy. To get the pics in the body of the message, yeh you do need webspace. I use imagestation. You can sign up for it for free. Go to www.imagestation.com There's quite a few other places that people around here use too. You might want to post a topic in the Other General section and you'll get all kinds info from everybody on different sites to choose from.

hey there kater! yep Oz is really pushing Idj along and is still alive to tell about it.:) Wish I'd have gotten a pic of our lil' convoy on the trail. Murph was pulling up the rear, because he had to stop and pee on everything. In the lead was Idj, because she had to make sure she had first crack at catching any wayward rabbits or snakes. Oz was in the middle between me and my friend and he herded her all the way down the trail. Back and forth behind her he weaved, so close that he'd step on the back of her heels from time to time and he'd bump her hand ever so often too. All 3 doing what they love best.:)

As always, your pictures were great! I loved each and every one and the "get along lil doggie" make me laugh! :D Ripley says to tell Murph that he too understands the importance of peeing everywhere he possibly can. He says, "it's imperative to *leave a little remembrance of you* in as many places as possible." :D I have literally seen him go so many times that occasionally not even a drop will come out but he still tries. :p These were a treat. Could we have more sometime soon? It's been too long!

Hi delidog! Oz isn't a rescue. I got him from a breeder at 9 wks old. So that must be somebody else's Oz you're thinking of.

hi there fizz! It's in Texas. Right outside of Austin, to be exact. I've had a lot of people tell me Texas was ugly. I keep telling them, they're not going to the right places. Travel long enough in Texas and you'll eventually find a terrain that you like. :)
