Hello! I have a maine coon cat which is 11 years old. About 4 years ago a film started forming across one eye. I go to the vet about every 3 months for him a steroid shot which makes the film go away but it always returns. I just wondered if anyone else had knowledge of this problem or what might be the cause. The vet said maybe an allergy and he had seen dogs with this condition but not a cat. Other than that he is very healthy. Thanks, Jan

I might suggest you take your kitty to a Vet Opthomologist...rather than a standard vet.

HELLO! THE FIRST TIME I TOOK HIM TO THE VET THERE WAS A SPECIALIST VISITING AND I TOOK CREATURE TO HER THE NEXT DAY. SHE ALSO DID NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS BUT SHE DID SUGGEST THE STEROID SHOTS WHERE MY VET HAD SAID SURGERY MIGHT BE NECESSARY. I AM THRILLED THE SHOTS DO WORK BUT I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM. THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER- ITS NICE TO KNOW THERE ARE CONCERNED PEOPLE OUT IN THE WORLD. THANK YOU AGAIN, JAN
