and it's also the day we've decided is Mishi's birthday. So I've had my hunka-hunka orangie love for a whole year today and (we think) he's three years old. What a long way he's come from that skinny, angry, snarling, shaved kitty into a beautiful 15+ lb. bundle of silly, purring kitty love.
I was looking at some pictures of him yesterday and I can tell he's definitely grown in the past year, so we know that he probably was a very young 2'ish when I adopted him. Maine Coons don't get their full adult size until around 2 years of age. I think (hope?) Mishi is done growing.
Even though he's had a minor setback with his kidney problems, I think the new diet is helping a lot and hope that he's with me for a VERY long time. Happy Gotcha/Birthday/Cinco de Mayo, my beautiful boybee!
