From her first family, Lily got some of these meat sticks as a treat for Easter, and she loved them, so I bought some more for her yesterday.

Look how she's chewing on them: :)

And here are two pictures of the girls bird watching yesterday, you can see very well how small Lily still is, compared to Luna:

(BTW, don't worry, I only have the windows tilted when I'm around!)

Kirsten,
Again, what BEAUTIFUL pics of the girls, esp. Lily. WOW. I may fly you to Cincinnati to do a photo shoot of my guys! Lily is such a funny, funny girl, isn't she? That tongue of hers is always sticking out. Looks like she really enjoys those sticks. And both girls must LOVE that view! I know I do!!

How cute - she uses her tongue more than any kitty I know:D

The view out of your window is great- Is that what they call the Weserbergland?

:)

Thanks! :) Yes, it's funny how many pictures I have with her little tongue out! :)

Yes, it's true, the view from that window is nice, but the one I had from my old apartment was even better! :)

Is that what they call the Weserbergland?

No, the hill and the forest you see in that picture is the Kaufunger Wald (between the rivers Fulda and Werra). The Weserbergland starts at the other side of the house, when Werra and Fulda unite and become the river Weser (Reinhardswald and Bramwald). Confusing, isn't it? ;)

Once again, Lily's got Pouncer jumping around looking for change under cushions to save up for a plane ticket to Germany! He refuses to disclose if he plans on a one-way or plans on a return flight.

Such pretty girls... and Pouncer's small compared to Allen too.

I always am excited to open up threads with Lily and Luna - and am never disappointed! That Lily is really going to town on that treat! So intense!!! Guess this is serious business, eh?

I just purchased those same treats!! Yoshi grabbed one right away and ran off with it only to come back seconds later to try to finish off what Lucky & Fluffy were still trying to figure out what to do with!

Wish I would of thought to get the camera.......

Well, these sticks I got for Lily are only available in Germany, I think... But I'm sure similar sticks are also available in other countries. :)

Yes!! They are brand new, made by Whiskas and called: Temptations Stix.

First found a coupon in Sunday's coupon section, then went & bought them at Petsmart.

Its hard for the older kitties to get use to this new "stick" treat, but then again Yoshi eats everything & anything

LOL Well, almost: ;)

"Wo Werra sich und Fulda küssen,
sie ihren Namen büßen müssen.
Und hier entsteht durch diesen Kuss,
Deutsch bis zum Meer, der Weser-Fluss."

LOL, Werra and Fulda are two rivers which are uniting in my home town to become the river Weser. There's a poem about it, carved in a big stone ("Weser stone") which marks that special place:

http://home.t-online.de/home/familie.duddek/images/hann.muendenweserstein.jpg

"Where Werra and Fulda are kissing
they have to sacrife their names.
And here arises from this kiss,
German to the sea, the river Weser"

(Bad translation, but these are more or less the words of that poem)

Well, I will never work as a translator but maybe I could have figured it out:) That is a nice poem - good imagery of two rivers *kissing* and giving up their names to become one different combined and new river. Hey! This would make a great wedding site! Is it ever used for weddings??

Gotta love that sweet Lily girl and that PINK TONGUE!!!! :)

Kirsten
05-08-2004, 02:46 PM
Well, I don't think it has been used for weddigs so far, but it would be kind of sweet.

Actually I was surprised that Barbara knows about that poem, I thought it's only known in my home town. :)
