Yeah, so here's what Finn looks like after eating as much pork as he could eat. :) I don't feed him like this all the time, he usually gets a regulated amount of food. But, I was busy and the pork shoulder kept him occupied. His belly will back to normal in the morning. I only wish I had a metabolism like that! :)

Enjoy his fatness. :) He is, of course, sleeping right now! And, Lock is enjoying some of the pork that Finn didn't eat....all's well that ends well.

I heard pork can be fatal to dogs.

Everything you feed your dog has risks involved. Kibble can be fatal to dogs, too. My friend's Siberian died because he choked while eating. I've been feeding pork to two different dogs for three years, and, have never had any problems. I'd heard poultry bones could be fatal, too, and, that's as true as the kibble statement, but, not any more so. Know what I mean? I'm not going to feed something that's guaranteed dangerous to my dog....here ya go, have a knife. And, you're probably thinking of trichinosis, and, from what research I did a few years ago when I first started feeding it, i was under the impression that the trichina worm had been basically eliminated from North America. But, if you get the pork from a questionable source, you can always freeze it first, to be on the safe side.

Oh, ok. I'm sorry, I guess I've been misinformed. I didn't mean to offend you.

Yeah, I think he weighs about 25 pounds now! I may run him up to the vet's office to get him on the good scale. I don't know how accurate my bathroom scale really is. I usually just get on it with him and then without him and his weight is the difference. :) I'll do that tonight before I feed him! Ha ha.....

Ok, I just weighed myself with Finn and without! According to the difference, he is 29 pounds now! :) WOW! And, that's without the big fat pot belly he had yesterday.
