I don't have any money to buy anything, So i'm making her a card.

I'm going to print the following picture out, and paste it on a peice of nice contruction paper. I'm going to but my hand print and both dog's paw prints on the back.

It's going to be a full page print out with the original image, but I resized it for PT.
Yes, I look really bad.. but oh well.

You look great in the pictures! You have great lips! I like the kissy one! :) What a great idea for mother's day! Homemade stuff is the best anyway....I'm not sure, yet, if I'll be able to afford anything. :( If I get my Mom something, it'll be an azalea bush or something like that....or a magazine subscription to MY favorite mag, Real Simple. She'd enjoy it, too! :)

Thanks. :)

I normally don't get much for her, since I normally don't have money.. so this isn't really different from usual.

My dad and his siblings all pitched in to get my grandma a swing.. one of those three seater bench type swings. :)

And thanks about my lips. :o Everyone always comments on them. Bleh! :p :o :p :o

That is soo nice! My mom always likes it when i make stuff for her.

When i was like 12 i drew this sheep and rolled up tissue paper and glued it on the sheep to make it look wooly and she STILL has it hanging on her refridgerator.. 12 years later...

I'm sure your mom will love it, Kay. How many times have you heard that you look very much like Lisa Marie Pressley? I think you do! :) (And that's a compliment!!!!! :) )

Awww... thats so sweet. I know she'' love it. Mom's have a soft spot for homemade gifts.

But one thng... try to find something other than construction paper... that fades too fast. She'll want to keep this and you don;t want to have it fade one her! :) Scrapbooking paper's real cheap. Do you have a Michael's or AC Moore near you? You can buy a sheet of scrapbook paper for a quarter. It won't fade as fast (if at all)

Aw, Kay, that's lovely! :) I'm sure your Mum will love it! :D

Here in the UK Mothers Day was on March 21st. My son called round with a card and some chocolates, which was lovely, but even better, later on he played 3 of my favourite songs for me on the radio, (Prince, U2, Roxy Music), I was chuffed to little buttons!! :D

Thanks everyone, and thank you for the idea Catnapper.

Maybe I could find something there, like a self laminating type stuff.

I LOVE home-made gifts. i still have things my kids made, and letters they wrote me from years ago! It means so much when you know a gift is "from the heart". I am also always amazed at how well behaved Nala and Simba are when they hold messages for you to post on PT - my dogs in South Africa would make confetti of it!!!!
