One Mean Momma

Here's mom cat and let me tell you, she is one of the "wildest" ones we've ever dealt with! I believe part of it is in protection of the young-uns, but last night she lunged at us when we tried to feed her. That's OK, we'll get her calmed down! She doesn't realize she isn't the first feral we've worked with!:D OH! She was PG again and in heat. Sadly the kittens had to be aborted, but she was just barely PG! Couldn't have gotten her soon enough!

That Poor Cat , fighting a Battle , when all ypu are trying to do , is to help her! Hopefully she will calm down , and realize that She is among Friends!

She reminds me of the feral at the shelter. It's that look in her eye and it's a very dangerous one!! The calico at the shelter has finally calmed down enough that you can put your hand in her cage and remove the babies but DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TOUCHING HER!! It will get better and I have no doubt that your mamma cat will come around quicker and easier than if she were in a shelter.
Your mamma kitty doesn't know what she has come up against! She will be really surprised to learn that humans aren't so bad! Good luck and I have no doubt that soon we will be hearing good results. Please keep us posted.

Wow, what a cat! Think for a moment if she was the size of a German Sheppard. I have a cat up by my house like this, he's the alpha male Tom. He looks like he wants to eat you for dinner with his eyes. This is what I love about cats, their wildness. I would not mess with her, she means business.

Poor girl...she looks like tough stuff. The most feral one I have here now, hasn't lashed out at me yet, though I don't risk using my hand with her. Her kittens are starting to totter around some now, so when I get a chance I grab them and give them kissies on their bellies.I can't say mama's getting the same affection! Instant lip removal service I'm sure. They'll be two weeks old on Sunday, and I can't believe how fast they are progressing. I swear she held them in until they were overdue. Their eyes opened at four days. :rolleyes: Rescue Remedy does work for calming down ferals.

queenscoopalot- Is rescue remedy ok for a nursing cat since her babies will end up getting too? Where do you buy it and is it expensive?
