What a fascinating story. That is considerably earlier than any other evidence. The article says that the researchers presume the cats were introduced to Cyprus, because there are no native species there. I don't fancy being the one who had to row to Cyprus from wherever in an open boat with cats on board! Do you think the cat box might be a neolithic invention? :D
