Apparently, the new way to modify your body is to get a platinum jewel implanted under your cornea...!!
I shocked when I saw this...I can't believe someone would do this! I think it would be really unconfortable :o

Here's the story/picture (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=1756&e=2&u=/040407/ids_photos_en/r809895955.jpg)

My sight is too important to me to even begin to take that seriously. Ah, it's probably just a Photoshopped thing anyway.

That grossed me out. But I guess if someone wants to do it, then why not.

Laura, I'm with you, it grossed me out too!! I'm just too old for that kind of thing anyway, and like Karen said my eyesight is more important to me than that. I already have trouble seeing.

I have always had this thing about my eyes anyway, I don't like anything getting near them. Except my glasses!

Geez,
What will they think of next? And I thought it was bad when I was at the mall and saw a girl with those implanted horns on her head! I had to take a second and third look at that one.

Honestly, when I read the description you wrote I thought it would be a bit too much, but then I saw the photo...

I really like it! I don't think I would ever do it (my vision is pretty gosh darn important to me), but I do love the look of it. I think a star would be cool.

It seems it is true and not a photo trick. Six women and one man have had the implant according to this BBC news report.

I do think it looks pretty, but what a dangerous and crazy thing to have done! Certainly not worth risk of damage or loss of sight.
