Katana sounds like such a sweetheart; your story about her "big ears" reminds me about the time I adopted my cat Marsha after she was found wandering in the oil field where my office is located.
When I brought her home, my mom thought that she had big ears for her size (she was probably more than a month old at the time) and didn't look too pretty. Well, time proved her wrong and the rest of Marsha had grown along with her ears; she turned out to be a pretty little kitty herself!
