I was going to dump garbage and opened the front door, hands were full and Avon ran right out front between my legs. I panicked, dropped the garbage and screamed for Kevin. She headed right up the palm tree, I ran after her, and she ran down and behind some bushes. I tried grabbing her only for her to dart out again. Finally I got her by the scruff of the neck and got her back inside....whew....What a jolt!

JJJ3 is second, only to the Late , Grat , Steve Mc Queen , in planning the Great Escape , and is so fast , and clever , that he can outsmart his Guardian , who is getting older , by the moment. I am glad that you retreived avon , as it can be a dangerous world , out there , for CATS!

I believe God sent you Avon just to see how much patience you have!!:D :D http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif
The little stinkweed is determined to be busy! I don't remember now but did you ever estimate her age? Is youth part of the problem?

Avon wants to be the next QUEEN of NAW-TEE! I think she could easily be Queen with you as her royal slave!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/wink.gif :D :D http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif

Glad the *snatch* & *GRAB* recovery worked! ;)

Suggestion:
All known "Door Darters" should be outfitted with
1) Collars
and
2) Jingle-Bells to make recovery easier! :p

They estimated her age at 7 months. Yes, kittenhood is part of it!:D As much as she trys our patience, she's really a lot of fun to have around. We both have quite a bit of patience when it comes to the cats!:)

Zam's been darting out the door if Kia delays just enough either coming in or going out. Spring Fever indeed...

Avon! What are you trying to do to your meowmie? Naw-tee kitty! But since you're still such a young little girl... we'll let you go this time. Be nicer to your meowmie; she loves you and doesn't want to see you knocking on someone else's door.

I have 2 door darters here who sometimes have to show me they are quicker than me (which starts to be easier for them every year;) I am happy that they only can go to the cellar but one day Filou too managed to get outside. Tigris in many cases just flashes out and then immediately comes back again - he only wanted to show he can;)

Avon girl being half a kitten of course has to train her nawteeness:) Did I say before I prefer nawteekitties to well behaved ones? Maybe I remember quite well how it must have been for my parents to have me as a daughter;)
