I've noticed that Corkscrew nose changes color depending on his mood. When he is very realxed it's a very light peach color, when he's a little more awake his nose gets pink and when he is very excited his nose turns this bright pink/orange color. Does anyone else have a kitty with a color changing nose?

When Cubby wakes up it is almost a white color. When he is playing it is a very bright pink. When he is just relaxed it is a very light baby pink color. Just please don't tell him that I told you he has some pink on him.

Heehee it's not pink, it's faded salmon. Or at least that's what I say when I wear my faded salmon dress shirt :)

O yes! Tess' nose is changing depending on her mood from almost white to dark pink. Look at the pictures and you can see the difference.

Smokey, Tucker and Mystic's nose color does not change at all. Smokey and Tucker's are gray and Mystic's is black, but Abner and Tigger's nose will change color depending on their moods, or should I say activity level.

AWW their little nosies are so cute!!! Neither Ally nor Connor have a colour-changing nose! (Better than a "Mood Ring"" any day!)

Charlie's nose does exactly the same thing. When he is very relaxed his nose is almost white and as he concentrates more or becomes excited it turns a deep pink. I had never had a cat that did that before and I am still amazed :)

YES!!
Mishka's nose goes from almost white to bright pink!
I've never attributed it to moods but have always wondered about it. I have noticed that when it's bright pink it seems to be wet and when it's light it's very dry.
When his nosie turns light I always tell him he looks pale.....;)

Zam's wee nose is black so it never changes. Logan on the other hand, his pink nose changes color. Very bright pink when he's scared or nervous. Near white to light pink when he's relaxed.

I figured it's because the blood is pumping and his face is flushed that his nose changes color.

Wow, that is one gorgeous cat! Pixel has a very dark gray nose so I really can't tell the difference and Randi has a pink nose ... that does change colour, now that I think about it (with pink nose kitties, it could be the amount of blood in the capillaries on the nose - like when humans blush or go red with anger and our cheeks go red)

Here's another person who will be watching noses, lol.

Jazz's nose is black and always is but I've never really paid attention to Scout's pink nose or Ripley's brown one.

I think Noah is the only one that has a color-changing nose. When he's calm, its a lighter color, when he's being "krazy kitty", its red! We call that his alter-ego, "Noal". ;)

Cupcake's nose is black, so it doesn't change color. That's a really neat phenomenon though!! I'll definitely be watching for it next time I come across a light colored kitty.

Yes, I think that is the exact reason the color becomes darker.

I notice that my Nipo's nose is most pink after we take her out the carrier when she has been in the car to go to the vet. The reason her nose is pink is that she has been meowing non-stop and is quite irked at her hoomans. ;) How could we be so cruel!

I've been watching Pouncer's nose ever since, and I am happy to announce that it ranges from Light salmon to very deep slamon. Allen's goes from nearly whitish pink to a rosey color. Thats too cool! Thank you for pointing that out.
